They must be keeping better at masking their number. Number showed on my cell phone as 19999 (no idea why it wasn't more digits). Automated message telling me (without naming my name) that it was the IRS and they were suing me and to call 210-591-7630 for more information. It's obviously a scam as the IRS doesn't call people. If they were suing you, you'd get something in the mail.

Same number - don't call them back it's a scam!  My neighbor received the same call a couple of weeks ago.  IRS will send you a letter in the mail and they will not demand anything from you and threaten you.

I got a pickup after about 20 rings and the man speaking in what seemed to be a heavy  middle-eastern or Indian or Pakistani  accent said "hello" , not "Good morning, IRS, my name is ...".  I told him the IRS doesn't call people, they send registered letters and since I had a return deposited in my account last week, I was pretty sure I owed them nothing and wouldn't be sued.  I then started talking about fraud and prosecution and he hung up.
