    another number that's being used by a non-compliant call center to sell you some crap. this company is likely Delari Tech & Media.  they hire call centers in India and dial on data illegally.  i've been trying to track them for over a year. you ask for DNC and no dice.  unfortunately, since business still hire them for lead gen purposes, they'll continue to call. the use the nsme College Advisor for education and have already been fired by several education lead gen companies. they just find a way to get hired by a new one, til the new one realizes their crappy service and fires them too.

    Got a call today from the Indian gentleman described above. Played with him for 10 minutes or so. He was very patient. I think he got wise when I told him my computer was a Commodore 64. Tried to get me to go to www.support.me, a website owned by a legit company called Logmein. He can use that site to access your computer if you enter a six digit code he will provide. Obviously, you shouldn't enter the code, but if you get as far as getting him to give you the code, you can report it to the folks at Logmein (866-478-1805, though you might be on hold for a while) and they can trace it to his IP and shut it down. Of course, he'll find another scam, but that's the Eternal Battle!

    I received a phone call this morning from 210-893-5553.  The guy had a heavy Indian accent and claimed to be from Microsoft and my computer had been sending off error messages this is not the first time I have received calls like this.  I proceeded to tell him if I had a problem then I would take care of it and proceeded to let him know that I knew this was a SCAM and I wasn't about to let him gain control of my computer and he hung up...

    I usually do not answer any phone number I do not know, but my wife passed away last week and I am receiving calls from friends from all over.  When I answered the call from 210-893-5553 it was a man with an Indian accent.  When I told him my wife passed away and now wasn't a good time - he started yelling, swearing, and calling me a liar!  I wish there was a way to track him down!

    I received a call today from someone with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Windows. He did not say Microsoft Windows but it is clear what message he wanted me to hear. He stated that they have been receiving a lot of error messages from my computer indicating that my computer may be infected with a serious virus. He wanted to take control of the my computer so he could show me in what files the "virus" was in. I told him no way would I allow him access to my computer;

    Rob M replies to Dr fedonanson
    Dr fendonason can't even capitalize his name or company name. First his co. name is fedonanson Financial Loan Service, then it's Melissa Financial Loan Service. This idiot can't even keep his own story straight in the same letter. How does he have unlimited funds and is willing to give you up to $10,000,000 without a SS number or credit check but he does need a 'pass sport'. How stupit does he think we are? This is high comedy. Unfortunately someone will be dumb enough to fall for this and just enough people will give him personal information to keep him going in his scam.

    Be careful - got a call from this guy and he very aggressively tried to get access to my computer, claiming to be from Windows.

    I got a call for 210-893-5553 today asking for me with my full name. The guy with a thick Indian Accent asked "how is your windows computer doing?" I asked him: "what do you mean.."he said how is your window's computer working" and i asked which one..and he started screeming.. asking the same question.
    i told him that there was no reason to raise his voice.. and to tell me which of my computers he was refering to.. and then he hung up..

    I called the number and it is not a working number.

    Be careful, do not give them any information.

    Not Stupid!
    I got a call from these people today (July 3, 2012) asking me to turn on my PC and follow their instructions.  They claimed to be from Microsoft, and claimed my PC had malicious files on it that could hurt my HARDWARE.  The guy had a heavy Indian accent and was definitely in a call center.  I told him his story was very untruthful and I was going to disconnect the call.  Then I hung up.  They did have my name, which is bothersome.  Watch out!

    i got a few missed calls from this number as well. The one thing i see i have in common with a few others is an inquiry to Lending Tree (more than a year ago). Its sad but very possible that they sell our info to these [***] phone marketeers that call from indian sweat shops. Pathetic...and i hold Lending Tree responsible for not "guarding" my info better!

    I got a call from a man with a heavy indian accent telling me I had a virus on my computer and that I needed to immediately turn it on and follow his instructions. I told him I needed to verify that he indeed was legit. He told me there was no time. I told him again that I had to verify who he was and he said he would call back in ten minutes. He never called back!

    Not fooled for even a second
    I got a call today from some guy with a very thick Hindi accent who said a "satellite tracker" had found a "problem inside my computer's memory".  Since that is an utterly [***] thing to say, I was a bit dumbfounded, but since I do run some GPS software, I said, "What?"  He repeated it, and said, "Just go to your computer."  I said, "You mean you have access to my computer?"  He said, "Yes".  I said, "Gee - that means I either gave you access - which I most certainly did not - or else you're breaking the law, right?"  He said, "OK", and hung up.

    This guy is obviously a real dumbass, and I could barely understand him - and I've employed programmers in India before.  Dunno if he can talk someone into doing something dumb.  Not sure what he even had planned.  Just logging this for the good of suffering humanity.
