Just got the same call as others have the past few posts.  Sounded like he said he was from PC SP, though very hard to understand so could have gotten that wrong.  Gave me a 18009350798 number that is on all scam boards as well.  Let him lead me right to a remote desktop access website and that's where I told him he was nuts if he thought I was going to give him access.  Proceeded to tell me he didn't do anything that I pushed all the buttons up to that point.  This website is pretty much exactly what happened to me.

WOW! I asked the gentlemen several times if he was a telemarketer and several times he says no,no,no. The final time I asked he admitted he was. These are unscrupulous people willing to lie and steal your information on your computer. He stated he was from PC SPEEDY. Beware! He asked for my grandmother and what computer in the house she used... She is 72 and does not even use a cell phone!!! He is willing to steal information and gain access to a senior citizens computer... Wow. Yes, he is a foreigner and from the accent I would guess middle eastern (just a guess.) The overall unethical, unlawful, greedy, unhuman behavior of people sickens me! WHEN I ASKED FOR THIS NUMBER TO BE TAKEN OFF HIS CALL LIST... HE REFUSED! This type of unwanted contact has to stop. My grandmother should not be scared of answering the wrong phone call and unknowingly giving them information that could financially harm her!!!! I am irate... but what can I do about it? BTW... She placed her home number on the so called no-contact listing thing.... to prevent these types of calls.

Guy called said he could help with my computer - my husband replied "what you stole my computer? You stole my computer? I have your number I am reporting you to the police!!!!"  then hung up on guy LOL.....we will see if he calls back ----

same thing here, said he was calleding to help with my computer. told him wasn't interested and hung up. It said New York on caller ID

This call is not originating in the USA!  It's a foreign scammer trying to get into your computer files!! DO NOT let them try to tell you they are from a web security company!!!! Just hang up or blow a whistle in the phone if they respond to the call pickup!!  

A guy with a heavy India accent just called that told me he could help me with problems with my computer. I told him I have an antivirus software installed in my computer, and I don't need his help. I asked him where did he get my number, and my phone is on the do-not-call list. Please don't call. Be careful, they try to get your information.

I wasn't home, but a woman left a message of hello... hello... If I don't know a number on my caller ID, I never pick up. Thanks for all of the previous informaiion.

Received a call from NY Caller 212-077-4568 .... Dean Jones, calling, who is the primary user of the computer, he says......
Me..... And why do you need to know this
Dean..... We are calling the users of Microsoft because of tech problems.....
Me ...... So you are telling me that you are calling all the Microsoft users to inform them about this problem.....
Dean...... Yes, now can I talk with the main user.....
Me ..... No, no, no..... Just wait I need more information from you Mr. Dean Jones.....

Just received numerous phone calls from a heavy accented Indian guy who was very aggressive about fixing my window computer problem/issue.  Hung up several time, then let my teenage son and his friends "play" with him on the phone.  Getting the number blocked as I type this.

That actually sounds quite entertaining. They just called,  though I think I've seen the number on my called ID before.  Think I might play along next time. Maybe I'll tell them I'm so glad they called,  as the cops have put a wire tap on my phone and I was wondering if they have any spyware on my computer.   LOL

I want to stop them from calling my home!!!  I ask to speak to a supervisor and he would not let me.  I am reporting them to Comcast and my local police department!!

Thank you for letting the dummys out there know what these a55holes are up to!!  I have recd 2 calls from this "NewYork"# in the last 2 days. It is obviously NOT from the States!!  Folks, BEWARE of false "helpers" who say they want to help you get your PC up to speed. All they want is you trick you into getting access to your PC, & STEAL YOUR IDENTITY or CLEAN YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS OUT!!

I keep getting calls from this number.  It is an obvious scam.  This last time they called someone breathed heavily onto my answering machine.  

Instead of getting mad, just have a little fun with them - at their expense.  You know they are a scam trying to access confidential data on your PC, so use that info.  The longer you keep them occupied on a boon daggle, the less time they have to locate and scam a gullible person.  I just play around with them, have a little fun, lead them on, and see how long I can keep them on the line.  Example:  After you lead them on for a few minutes and get them on the hook, say "hang on a minute, I'll be right back", then just lay the phone down and see how long they will just stay on the line until they realize they have been conned.  Another example:  After they have you perform a few tasks say, "Holly Cow, a bunch of credit card numbers just appeared, do you want me to read them off to you?"  You can hear them salivate over the phone.  Then just start making up numbers.  Have Fun!!!

I just got off of a call from,, I'll call him Sanjeeb 1, saying that there is a security problem on my Windows computer. I said what are talking about speak english, that went on for a few times before he handed the phone over to his supervisor, Sanjeeb 2. He asked me if I was infrunt of my computer, I told him his English sucks and asked where he was calling from he told me Las Vegas and when on to tell me that there is a security problem on my windows computer.. I told him to speak more clearly and that I was busy working this time of day he then asked if he could call back at a later time, I then asked again what do you want and just what are you selling. His reply was "well I gess your to F%&#ING busy then" and hung up. He said he was from Las Vegas but the caller ID said New York and when I tryed calling back the number was invalad..

Same as everyone else here indian guy trys to get you to install a trojan horse so they can use your pc for nogood  . When I told him I was a it guy for fbi he got off fast . The government should be knocking on this dudes door and water board his ass. Also a good rule of thumb is if there is a real problem with your pc the cable company will call you  and there name will be on caller id.

This guy called and had my name and all.  I was eating supper so I excused myself from the table.  I asked if I was the primary user of the computer and I said Yes.    Than I told him I was an IT Profssional and knew everything about computers.  Than he started to continue and I asked him why he was trying to Scam me.   He became very angry that I called him out.  Saying he was nice and everything and that I wasn't a good guy.  

I paused and said "State your business than"......whaaaaaaaaaat he hung up on my...How dare he..LOL

I just had a call from this same douche... I read only a few of the posts and was sold...I knew this guy was trying to scam me from the moment I heard his broken [***] English wanna be accent. Yeah me!      ; )

Wants you to let him on your computer. These guys should be gutted and strung up in public. Definitely a scambag.

They're not watching what you're doing online - they are scammers using an autodialer.  They either walk you through a phony fix for a non-existent problem and ask you for your credit card number so they can charge you for the service, or they walk you through steps to give them remote access to your computer so they can access your files and obtain your credit card information from your computer or otherwise perform identity theft.  When they have first called you, they have no access to your computer yet - only if you give access to them during the call.  Microsoft has information on its website warning of this scam.  Legitimate IT from Microsoft, McAfee, Norton, or anyone else will not call you - you have to call them when you have a problem.
