Just received another call from these jerks.....Called them back at the 877 number listed above and asked to have my number removed from their data base. I let the person answering the phone know that if another call was made to my home that I would refer Spartan Capital to my state's attorney general.......hope this stops these rude calls.

I called and talked to a lady and asked that our number be taken off their call list and informed her that they have some of the rudest telemarketers and she said " ah, yes".  It's a shame that they know this and keep them as employees.

Guy was an idiot.....demanding the company Presidents cell phone...TOOL!

We received the same call twice from a male (with a NY accent) who never says why he is calling and won't let us put him into voice mail. We have listed this number as a crank/spam call and will now tape all calls from this number.

Male called our company this afternoon at 1506 hrs asking to speak with the boss by using the old we-must-be-buddies-because-I-know-his-first-name ploy.  When I informed him that the boss doesn't work in the office, that he works on the road and asked if I could be of any assistance, the idiot said, "I'll call back later."  I repeated - slowly and emphatically as if talking to a brain-dead child - that the boss doesn't work in the office, he works on the road.  The caller's reply, "Yup" and then he hung up.  Now that I've confirmed the sleeze-bag status of these people, I will respond with an ear-piercing emergency whistle into the receiver.  He gets THAT a few times he may actually begin to understand the concept of "not interested."  I'm not holding my breath though because the guy obviously isn't very bright and his tone indicated that he isn't having any fun at his job - probabably because he isn't calling other people who are as obtuse as him.

By the way, I was just browsing the internet to find out about these Spartan Capital Securities people and found www.seclaw.com/currnews.php . Apparently the SEC is investigating these clowns (among others):  "Washington, D.C., Nov. 17, 2011 — The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed an emergency enforcement action to stop a fraudulent scheme targeting investors seeking coveted stock in Internet and technology companies like Facebook and Groupon in advance of a public offering."  "They raised at least $12 million from investors across the country during the past 15 months. The SEC’s complaint alleges that Spartan Capital solicited investments by phone, word of mouth, and advertisements on professional networking website LinkedIn.com."  "The complaint further charges Mattera, Van Siclen, the Praetorian G entities, Almazon, Spartan Capital Partners, and Howard with violating Sections 5(a) and 5(c) of the Securities Act by engaging in the unregistered offering of securities, and Almazon and Spartan Capital with violations of Section 15(a) of the Exchange Act by acting as unregistered brokers.

This person who I do not know keeps calling me almost daily about investments. I do not invest with people I do not know who make cold calls. I have tried to tell him I am not interested but he keeps talking and will not listen. He is violating the Texas and National DO NOT CALL Lists and probably violating SEC regulations.

Spartan Capitol jerk calls every day now as he says, "Somebody told me to call your business owner."  He will never have the opportunity to get past me!

 I now am armed with an incredibly loud whistle which I plan to use when he calls again.  I wonder how many times I will have to blow the whistle in his ear until he gets the hint.

Same rap: Spartan Capital cold-calling me into oblivion. The guy on the phone really thinks I'm going to give him money on a cold call and he won't stop calling me.

Just got a call from the same rude caller. I was equally rude. I had much more important things to do -- like playing with trains with my 3 year old.

Called 2 times and hung up. Calls about every week or so. Basically, every time I get a call from 212 it's some boiler room trying to sell some stocks and doing a pressure sell. This Spartan Capital looks like the same exact deal...Jerky Boys has a free insult app for your iphone. Just a suggestion.

Guy said that his name was Gabe and that he was calling about a Judiciary matter and wanted to speak with the owner.  BULLSH*T!  I told him to call him on his cell or at home since it was judiciary, and he got all stupid (because he didn't have the numbers).  Hung up right then.

"Alan Perkins" called our company asked for president by name, when I asked the nature of the call he said "Personal Nature".  Then I quick wrote number down and said i would tell him he called and to call back at the 212-293-0004 number...and I think I stumped him.

I am getting a call from 212-293-0004, I do not answer because I have read all the reports on this caller.  Thanks for keeping a file on this.

The number and caller are from SPARTAN CAPITAL GROUP. They offer equipment leasing. They will call forever, even if you ask them to stop.

"Did a little research on this number. I called 212-293-0123 and talked to a lady that confirmed the the 212-293-0004 number does originate from there. I asked to be taken off of their call list. They also have a 877 number. maybe we should all just start calling that number to annoy them during the day.

Like everyone else has said, he calls asking for the owner like they've been best buds since high school, then asks for a mobile number. I politely told him we aren't allowed to give out cell numbers and he said "Oh sure lady" and hung up.

He'll never get through. I like the sense of humor, might have to try that.
