The 213 271 2857 callers are unstoppable, it seems, after all the complaints I've read here. I, of course, don't answer strange calls during telemarket and scammers pre-Christmas blitz. Happens every year. I've turned in the more persistent caller-numbers to the Do Not Call people, but to no avail. On those rare occasions when I confront them, the same thing happens. They either ignore my request to take off their lists or insult you, as it happened to many. Try to find a way to get back to them and speak to some one who cares, it's as hard as fiding bin Ladin.
The same as one of the above victims, I, too, work nights, 'til 5 am, and these plague of telemarketers start calling sometimes as early as 8 30 am. You'd think with all the technology we have, there'd be a way to control this scum.

Received calls from this number several times.  When answered no one is there but the line is open

I got a two calls from this number today and answered on the first ring the second time.  Guy says he is from the US Processing Dept and asks if I still have my Mitsubushi.  I ask who is the US processing Dept and he hangs up.  Next time I am playing along with him to take up his time. And then report him to the FTC for calling a do not call number.

We Got this call and no answer from the other side I then hung up and Called back got answering machine and left no name but left my number asking to be takin off there list....This is a scam!!!

This number has not called me, but the strangest thing is happening!  Some of the people who are called by this number in my city hit redial and call ME!  I get about 20 calls a day from people saying "Hello, someone just called me from your number" and they're all in my city.  I'm not going to post my area code, but my phone number is 213-2712, and somehow these calls are being routed to me!  It is extremely annoying, as I'm sure it is for those people getting these calls.  I've called my wireless company and they suggested changing my SIM card or changing my number.  I shouldn't have to change my number, I've had it for over 10 years!  I changed my SIM card and the calls stopped for about a week, but today they started again.  This is ridiculous!

I answered the phone, and the Man that called asked for my husband like he knew him. When I said "hello" he said "Yeah is Bob there"? I replied no, and that I could take a message, he then made it sound important and asked when he could get a "hold" of him? When I asked who was calling he just said that he would call back, and then hung up on me, before I could say anything else.Not a "typical" Telemarketing call (as they are usually fast, and try to sound nice, and at times leave the Number & Company).

I just got a home phone and as soon as it is activated, this guy calls everyday, all hours of the day, even early in the morning and late in the evening. I worked as a data entry specialist for a call center before, I know that they aren't suppose to call after 9pm but this guy keeps calling for some woman named Betty. Same guy too, I can tell by his voice since he calls every damn day. Sometimes he asks for her, sometimes he just hangs up, most of the damn time he is breathing on the other line. So finally I decided to call him back, I find out it's a damn telemarketing company with only a damn answering service. What the hell kind of crap is that?

Their calls are continuing despite being under preliminary injunction.

I hope these people get serious jail time.

Yep, been getting calls from this number CONSTANTLY to my home AND cell phone numbers! When answered I get the garbage about my vehicle warranty expiring, to which I reply you don't say... Then they tell me "my [insert 1 of 3 10 year-old vehicles here] is expiring," to which I say "that's interesting, considering it only had a 3 year/50,000 mile warranty" (all 3 did)! Usually I am immediately disconnected after that, but I did get one today (spawning my post here), that insisted I purchased the extended warranty at the time of sale. I tried to draw it out to get a clear company name, but all this guy would say is that we work for your dealer's warranty program.  That had to be the best yet (normally it's just slurred or hurried), I would have loved to see the turkey's face on the other end of the phone when I told him I am the service manager of the dealership and have been for 22 years (I am)!  This really ticks me off because I am registered on the DNC list, have been since it was developed, had my home and cell phone numbers for 15 years, and now calls on my cell phone on my dime is not right!  Reform is needed!

3rd call from this number.  Figured it was BS by the "california" ID. Never left a message.

Asked for husband.  I told them he wasn't in but that I had checked his telephone number on the internet and that it appears he is nothing but a big fat scam.  I also told him not to call our number again and then I hung up.

I got a call also but  but I set my phone now not to receive calls even if it # i don't know I don't answer it Now! OR i GIVE THEM the new number TO REACH ME @ which IS number TO SECRET SERVICE IN my STATE AND THEM FBI THEY USUALLY LEAVE YOU ALONE AFTER THAT!
