They call my office and tell sure, let me get it for you.  Then I put them on eternal hold.
When they call back, I say "hold on, we're getting it for you".  Then I put them on eternal hold, again.

My suggestion to those who receive this call on a regular basis, keep a whistle or a fog horn close by, and next time they call-let them have it.

I get these calls from time and time and every time I explain to them, we are an IT company. We handle our own copiers. They just hang up. Class act!

I get these calls all the time.  One friday afternoon i decided to mess with the guy & told him I wasnt giving him any numbers off our copier... he started yelling and told me to "get off my fat [***] and get the number!" I laughed soooo hard...what an IDIOT LOOSER!

DO NOT give any info out about your copier. they will send you all kinds of supplies at an outrageous price. its all a scam

Unknown company calling asking for copier info and when I ask what company they are with they hang up.

They call regularly to our office, I cannot believe they've been doing this for so long. They've cursed me up one side and down the other, they told my relief receptionist (when she said, "I think if you service our machine, you should know the number") she shouldn't think because she's a woman.

So, why can no one find out and report this company, again?

I got another call from 213-537-1909 today.  I didn't get the rude woman who hangs up when I ask questions - the guy told me his company was IDC and, like others have said, offered to hold/ship outrageously priced Lexmark tonner cartridges my workplace.  I get a call whenever I speak to my local photocopier service provider.  It's erie - like they know!  Has anyone tried to report these people/requested to be taken off their list?  Who can we complain to?

My story is the same as all the others above.  They are now calling us 2 - 3 times per week.  Isn't this harassment?  How can you make them stop or report them when "Do Not Call" does not apply to business telephone numbers?

A call came in today on one of our lines, a male voice said “My name is Jim, I’m with the company that services your copier, I need the serial # on the copier”. I asked which copier since we have two and he said the one closest to me.  I placed him on hold and went and wrote down both numbers.  When I picked up the phone I asked  “Out of curiosity, did someone from our office contact you regarding an issue with the copier” his response was “just do your job you fu**ing moron”, I said “excuse me?” he said “You heard me, stop being a fu**ing robot and do your job you fu**ing moron”.  I then said “Sir, are you speaking to me? “ (still in utter disbelief), and he replied “Just do your fu**ing job” and hung up.

Lady called and asked for # on our copier and when I asked who she was calling with she hung up. I tried to call the number back but it is just a busy signal. How can people do this and not get caught??

Regularly get this call about them needing to "update their records" so they can send us the new manual out for our copier. Since they repeatedly call and waste my time, I waste their time by putting them on hold and never picking the call back up.

This company calls every month asking for the model number of our printer. This time a man stated they needed to send out new manuals ( I just so happen to have purchased the printer recently so It was very obvious it was a scam.) When I politely asked him to stop calling he replied " F*ck you B*tch" and hung up.

I just received a call from this number; we received calls from an unknown number before with similar stories to what was above. Well they got smarter, now they claim they are from Lanier and try to get a contact for who orders the supplies. I put him on hold and tried to verify with someone and when I was unsuccessful I tried to get him to leave a message, so that I could hand it to the person so as to avoid giving out the contact info, and he hung up.

They called here and said they were "customer service with the copier"- which we don't lease the copier, we bought it from Costco as we are as paperless as possible and only really use it for any scanning purposes, so no need to services.  I was as polite as I ever am, I said "I'm sorry but we do not have a company that services our machine" and before those words barely came out of my mouth the slammed the line down.  #1 if this were a real customer service they just lost, #2, Had they really been listening when I said "we don't have a copy service" they would have tried to sell it to me- they are just porbably trying to see what phone lines are live to use to sell to other telemarketers

They called today from this number stating they were from Canon and providing quarterly updates. I never receive calls from Canon unless they are answering a service call.  He asked for my name but once he repeated "I just want to make sure not to get you confused with someone else," I knew it was a scam.  Plus he was taking forever to actually tell me what he wanted or needed and once I asked forcefully "what can i help you with?", he just hung up.

Calls from this number are definitely a scam. They will mail you cartridges and charge outrageous prices for them and hope you do not notice the amount on the invoice.

Same thing happened to me.  These people called repeatedly and pretty much the same thing happened each time.

This guy called me yesterday and was very polite and asked for the number. He told me it was just to update their information. I said sure thing what do you have on file? He told me nothing was on file because there had been a fire and they were starting from scratch. I starting asking questions acting concerned like was anyone hurt? and finally he got so annoyed and staring cursing me out. I hung up and then he called again today acting so polite and I asked him how the fire recovery was going. He remembered me started yelling again. Can't wait to see if he calls again tomorrow!
