Just received a call from them wanting to talk to our shipping supervisor. Inform him that we do not have one. He then proceeded to tell me that we can expect a shipment to come via UPS ground. He did recite our address but when he said 'dyna-tech" and "tape", I knew something was not right. They used to call our office over a year ago trying the same crap.

When I connected the dots, I told him not to send us the tape or ANYTHING. And said, "we do not want anything from your company".

BTW: no number showed on the caller ID.

Also, the UPS number they gave me, was NOT tracking number used by UPS.

I used to work at DTI, please don't be mean to the workers! They're just like you trying to get by and we really do sell tape to companies that need it and other packing supplies. And yes, the speech is a bit misleading but helloooo, just be smart and don't give your info out to a company you've never heard of saying you ordered tape? Just say no thanks and get on with your life its not a big deal.

And there is no "list" to be taken off of. We get these print outs from the computer and they get them from who knows where. So yea sorry but if your name keeps appearing on the lists then you will continue to be called and there is no way to get taken off so just deal banana peel!

Got a call from Mike at Dynatech asking for our Shipping department. We generally do not transfer outgoing calls to Shipping, so I asked what it was regarding and he said, "I need to check the weight limit of outgoing shipments." I said, "To our company," and he said, "No, from your company." I put him on hold and checked with our shipping department to see if they knew anything about it and they did not, so that's when I figured it was a scam. He hung up before I could get him back on the line.

Btw, "Beth" who used to work at Dynatech, if you/your comments were for real- this is not an honest job, this is an attempt to scam people. If you work for a company like this, you have to know that is what you're doing. It's extraordinarily rude for you to tell us to "just deal banana peel" when you're the one trying to scam those of us who are actually trying to do honest work.

    Warehouse Operative Lead
This company called and demanded from our front desk to talk to whoever was in charge of shipping and receivings claiming they were a regular vendor for our company. When they got ahold of me, they acted like they'd been doing business with us for years and were going to send us a complimentary box of 2" clear tape along with a Starbucks card for the holidays. Not having been here that long, I took it and now that I've learned the knowledge of this place we are awaiting the invoice that will probably come in and also the package so I can refuse it. DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR BS! They are faker than a rock painted to look like a diamond. Make sure you report them and do NOT accept their calls. They managed to get to my direct extension in the warehouse and I have a feeling I will now be dealing with these people so long as I work here.

I made a stupid mistake and gave caller my name. I expect some sort of bogus shipment in the near future! People should get a real job!

It is a big deal when you lie for a living. Excuse some of us for trying to be cordial and give at least just a first name, like myself, who will have that as an "oh, I talked to Linda" like I ordered the item(s). Good thing it is not my usual job to order ship items; we have regular suppliers; we know we didn't order stuff from this company. So, who pays for the shipments to go out? Who's wasting their money? I just want to know how this works. I am curious my nature.

Same call format mumbled something about 25 year anniversary and sending out giftcards and new catalogues.  He asked if we still use 2 inch tape and I said we did - he said he'd send samples.  Then he transferred me to someone else who also mumbled something.  I had a bad feeling about it since they weren't real clear.  Before I could ask any questions of my own they hung up.  Unable to contact them back with any of the numbers I've found online.  Grrr!!  What slimey people.
