i got a call from 2135555515 yesterday May 5th at about 2:40, but i was at school and my phone was on silence so i didnt/couldnt answer it. it said california on my phone and a lot of other posts say stuff about california so...

I just got a call from them at around 11 AM. After looking at the missed call, I realized that it was a 555 number, which apparently isn't supposed to exist (which is why in movies they always dial 555 numbers). I thought this was bizarre, so I searched it and ended up here. We could be experiencing some sort of phenom here. We must band together.

This stupid number called me like 10 times today (5.11.10) together with strange digits 988-28-70-3.  Same man keeps saying hello with heavy accent possibly Hispanic.   I called my cell phone provider to get some insides, but the only thing they could offer is either report this numbers as a harassment, or change my number, or block up to 10 numbers and pay $3.99 per month.  I got to this site and it made me feel more comfortable.  By the way, never had to deal with Honduras or Guatemala.

Wed. May 12th 2010 @ 5:45 pm I got a call from a spanish? speaking woman 213-555-5515 and when I tell her she has the wrong number, she hangs up and then I get 2 more calls but...

the next 2 calls from this woman are 8 digit numbers (95855905) figure that one out. Who all is on Verizon wireless getting this call?

lots of calls no answer or they listen & hand up. I had a friend who could speak spanish & asked them what they wanted couldnt get a answer. now I have the same problem with 908-205-5641 : (. wish they would stop

They called me 6 times within 5 minutes...i would pick up and say go away then i said leave me alone then i said f off and then i siad call me again ill call the police and i didnt head back from them

I have been receiving strange calls like this from a variety of numbers for weeks now and today 213 555 5515 called 6 times in 2 hours.

I just got a call from this number - and it was my sister calling from Honduras.  It is obviously a calling card number, no need to freak out!

Its really weird when u received a call from this number many times
i believe this person or whatever it is should stop calling and respect other peoples privacy

One call, went to my voicemail. I thought any number prefixed with 555 was fake?

got about 10 calls from this number today, along with the 8 digit number,992-408-93. its really annoying.

Continually receiving phone calls from 213-555-5515.  Obviously Hispanic, sometimes female, sometimes male.  Usually speak Spanish, which I do not know but suspect one time he called me an ugly name.  Sometimes hear children in background.  Once sounded like they were calling from a hen house.  My phone # is unlisted and on the Do Not Call list, yet they keep calling.  Answering with the phone on speaker phone and placing it by my computer keyboard so all they can hear is my typing as I work temporarily stops the calls for that day, only for them to resume the following day.

Got a call from 213-555-5515 April 18, 2011 11:13 pm local time. Spanish speaking woman saying her name is Victoria looking for Charles, my first name. Said she was Dominicana. Said she always calls her friend at my number. After a minute apologized and hung up.

I believe like some other posts suggest, it must be some international trunk call line that is used to make calls into the U.S.

That Los Angeles number is just a server number that then gets re-routed to your number for a better connection. Sometimes it comes out when people from Honduras call. A lot of Hondurians have families in the US so in most cases it's probably a wrong number if you're not the correct person but if they say your name and you don't know who they are I would just hanp up, right? Creepy. Calling from Honduras to the US is really really cheap, like 50 cents for 10 mins, I was there on vacations and I was able to call my family in the US with clear reception but if I called from the US  using a calling card 2 dls for 8 mins and bad connection.

Ughhh... No wonder why these uneducated women keep on calling, like posters said, they call several times in less than an hour, and after 10pm...

I got a call from this number. I did not answer. Tried to call back, but could not reach the number.

Like the other posters it was after 10 on Sunday night. They called once and I did not answer they called back and my daughter answered the phone and said you have the wrong number several times then she handed it to my son who has a very deep voice and he said what's up? They hung up and didi not call back. Weird though. I hope this is the end of it.
