I never pick-up a call from #'s I don't recognize. Other posts are certainly correct it's VARNISH REST...Don't answer. Has to be a scam.

several calls from this number, this morning on a sunday at 7:00 in the morning their time. called it last week and claim someone is using their number. called back this morning and got a busy signal. when is something going to be done about these scams. i don't think anyone is doing anything. can't this be stopped. i feel my privacy is being invaded by all of these scam callers. I AM TIRED OF IT.

They call and never leave a voicemail. I don't know anyone in Cali.

Got a call from this number from a "Joseph Riley" claiming that I needed to make myself available between 12-3pm for him to bring documents for me to sign and verify either at my home or job.  Gave a call back number of 844-466-6169. Didn't say a company name or who they were calling on behalf of.
This is a complete scam.  Don't fall for it!

got a call and asked what they wanted. they said "a personal matter for my name" i hung up

Ok I figured out what this is. Out of curiosity I decided to try calling my cell phone from my office phone at work. But used *67 first. So calling from my work phone to my cell phone use the *67 it came up on my phone with this number! Weird, that must be why there are so many random people calling from this number.

Received a voicemail from this number trying to reach my mother on MY cell phone. They never gave a name of any kind other than my mother. Message left said he was calling on behalf of his 'client' and referenced a 'claim number tied to (her) name and social' and said they needed an immediate call back to 844-466-6171.  NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Don't fall for this. You have a right to ignore these calls and should let friends and family members who might not use these message boards know what is going around.

I'm sick of these people and calls. I'm on the do not call list and have even changed my number twice when my cell company told me there was nothing they could do. The FCC just tells me thanks for the report but there's nothing they can or will do either but log the complaint. I'm buying a loud whistle or fog horn. Maybe if I impede their ability to hear for a while it will at least give what would have been the next person a reprieve.

I received 6 calls within a 5 minute period today. The guy identified himself as Kevin and said there was a criminal case against me and documents had been sent to my home. He said he needed me to sign the documents and have my human resources department at my job also sign. He said I needed to be available at my home between 12 and 5 to sign the papers. This man had my name,ssn,address and my date of birth. This is scary. I work in the identity theft department at my agency and I will be taking precautions to protect myself. I suggest everyone else who receives these calls do the same. The number he gave was 844-466-6169. This is a acam. Please do not give them any information.

I just received a call from same number he asked for me by name I said "how may I help you" he asked for me by name again I said "how may I help you" he said exact same thing and I replied with how may I help you.  He said is that you. I said duh What would give you that idea. He said I'll call back later and hung up. I tried recalling number and got number not in service. Blocking them. Whoever they are. If they are not smart enough to talk when I asked how I could help them. And have to repeat it 3 times. They are just wasting my time. I would say spam/scam call

It is illegal for them to threaten to serve papers only law enforcement can do that. If They are a collection company They are not following their rules and regulations by law. Before giving any information or talking about any bill. You want their name, address, telephone #, professional license # then ask then to mail you verification of debt in question of original creditor. Do not discuss bill or your information with them until they can provide all of this information. I received this information from FTC after I was a victim of identity theft.

This number has called four times in three hours. I don't know anyone in L.A. Googled it and got this page. I will not be answering this call.

Keep receiving these calls and person will not answer. Very harassing!!!!! Needs to be stopped....

I just got the same message on my VM.  Like many others have already said,  glad I googled it first before calling the idiots back.  Google magic my friends!

didnt answer, they left a voicemail saying they were a 'private carrier' in the area and were coming by with some documents.  make sure I was available with a witness.  said they would 'see me soon'.  ridiculous.  I blocked their number.

CREEPER  Told him I was only 13 years old and was offered a modeling contract if I sent him a portfolio of naked pics and 200.00 dollars.

Called me at 9:56 at night.  I didn't answer. Very annoying.

I got call blocker (free) works like a charm...you may see a call from them but only in call blocker telling you they were put in [***]

calls but doesn't leave message.  my friend picked up once and caller claims to be taking a market survey -- no thanks.
