- Law OfficeVery clever attempt! Asked for someone who doesn't work here any longer, then tried to be forwarded to purchasing department to set up a business account. Didn't have a number to get calls back but provided the email address "ljerrime@amazon.com". After providing this email, asked me if I wanted to set up an account. I played nice and got off the phone, then googled both this email and the phone number he called from. Definitely a scam, and by providing what looks like a real Amazon email address, he may be able to trick the unsavvy. Beware!

- A Catholic NunI received several calls from this number. (I have since blocked her.) On the third call, I finally picked up. She identified herself as Kristelle (Policarpio) - and followed up the call with an email - continues to send emails to my 'work' email address. She called me by my first name and proceeded on to tell me that I qualified for an Amazon Business account on my 'personal Amazon account'. She mentioned my business email address, too. I told her that our business already has an Amazon Business account - that's when she told me that I could have my own. Immediately she asked if I was in front of my computer and that she would walk me through the process, and that it would not cost me anything up front. I told her that I was not allowed to get on the internet during work hours. I also told her that my Amazon account was not on the same email address as she had mentioned. She then pretended to not have any email address on me - and I reminded her that she had told me that I could open a business account using my email. When I insisted that I couldn't use the internet at work (I made all this up), she said she could do it on my phone. I went on to tell her that I couldn't because I was on the phone with her - so she asked for my office phone. I don't have one, so then she proceeded to give me directions on how to do this on my phone - asking me to put it on speaker mode. I did. I spent her time by pretending that I wasn't sure what 'an app' was. She asked me to push the 'home button' on my phone and I kept pushing numbers on my phone telling her that nothing was happening. Then I said, "Oh! There's a button with a 'little house' on it! Is that the 'home button'? She laughed, and said, "Yes ma'am. Now push that button." I did, and it hung up! :D She called back. We tried again, and I then mentioned that I can't get email nor internet on my "flip phone." (I actually have a smart phone.) She then asked if she could call me the next morning when I would be at home in front of my computer, and she would help me. I told her that was very kind of her! When we hung up, I blocked her number and reported her email as phishing! What Kristelle didn't know was that I am actually the IT support for our Sisters here on campus. :D I kept her on the phone to keep her away - at least for a while - from scamming others.

- AThey have been calling our companies main line for over three months now asking for the 'Purchasing Manager'. My caller ID says its Amazon Business, so in the beginning I thought it may have been legit. We don't have a purchasing manager so I have been requesting they email me subscription information so I can have my leadership review, however the caller "Kenneth" would never follow through. I have asked for callback numbers for them but I have been told "they don't have phone numbers from where they are calling" but one time they gave me an email of gatpolim@amazon.com, I never sent them anything though. Come to find out, one of our Executives has a business account tied to their work email, and I told 'Ken' that when he called again last week. He asked what email address what used and I just played dumb and asked for him to please cease any further follow up calls since we are all set. he told me "I cant close out our case with you until I can confirm you have an account". Politely I told him that is less my issue and more on them and their process. They have continued to call and when I answer they hang up right away, I assume hoping they will get connected with someone else. If you call 213-737-8771 you get some BS recording where they say they will call you back, but you cant leave a message. I have reported their phone number and email to Amazon as a scam and I would suggest anyone else do the same so they can build a case and maybe Daddy Bezo's and his crew can go after them.

- DJHad this guy call me saying that i qualified due to being a valuable customer. Kept saying my name incorrectly. He said that he sent me an email 2 days ago. I saw it in spam and had a "@amazon.ph" That was when something clicked in me and told the guy that i was not interested at all. His name is "Vincent [C] Quiambao". I also called back the number. It doesn't let you leave a message. It just tells you they will call after 2 business days.
