Thanks for posting that message Eve.  It made my day because of how ridiculous it sounded.   Cops showing up at your door and dragging you to the courthouse over a debt?   What a moron.  The first thing you should do Eve is get a real job.  Second, you should know the laws before you start typing on here.   Not one sentence you said had any truth to it.   But thanks again for making me laugh.

the same thing just happen to me earlier this evening i was getting all worried and was about to pay it when i had talked to my attorney and they said it was a scam cause they broke every law under the federal trade commission.  he said i had to pay 1547.87 otherwise they would pick me up from work or home and bring me to jail

This forgein man called me at my job #, which I don't give out to anyone unless it's family for a emergency.  Asking to speak with me, I said she doesn't work here. I know how they do with this s*** they pull your information from other system or accounts and try to get as much money from you as possible. I've had someone try to pull this mess on me before....so please take my advise don't fall for it. It's a scam.

I too receieved a call from this number about 2 weeks ago or so. At first I was freaking out and I was even going to send them money. I got lucky though and calmed down and took a look at the big picture. First off they called two family members of mine at six am looking for me that is the first red flag, by law no company can call you before eight am and after nine pm. Second I called the local fraud division in my city and spoke to an officer there who informed me that I could not be arrested for a debt. So as far as an officer coming to arrest me that would be out of the question. He also said that any person being sued for debt would receive correspondance in the mail first and that emails are not sufficient means to collecting any debts. ( This is what I was told when they called, they claimed to have sent me emails about my owed debt.) Thirdly I went onto the website for the company that they claim to be representing ( National Cash Advance or Advance America Cash Advance depending on where you live.) and right away a pop up message came up saying to call their customer service if you were contacted about a debt you owe their company because this is a scam. So I called and spoke with a representative there. I gave her the name of the  "law offices" that was given to me and the phone number that I was called from. She advised that this is definately a scam and that they are being federally investigated. Now this is not to say that these people are not good at scaring you, I mean they have all your information. I have had to change my bank account and also inform the credit agencies of fraud. I also don't like the fact that they know where I live. Luckily my lease ends soon as I will get a chance to move as well. I do hope that these people are finally shut down it's frustrating to think that someone out there has all my information and keeps harrasing me as well as my family members. Oh and too Eve Nichole and Letoyna I would get all the facts straight before coming on here talking about how this is not a scam. Too anyone else out there as worried as I am or was, you can call your local police and talk to someone in your fruad division as well it helped ease my mind.

Called house looking for my son. Made some threatening statements. My attorney handled it once it is a scam watch out and don't feel threatened by them.

This man called with a very thick foreign accent and said that i better not hang up the phone and dont even think about running they eill come and find me. I am facing 3 crinimal charges and if i don not respond to him immediately they will get the police after me. I called back with my husband and they are inavailable and you cannot leave a message in the mailbox. There is no announcement as to what or who you are even calling!

Are they still calling you????  What have you done to get this to stop???  I have been getting the same calls and it is making me crazy.
