Called me at 11:52 am, 11:53 am, and 11:54 am today. I didn't answer. No voice messages. Calls Mr every day, minimum of twice a day. One time I answered and nobody said anything. Extremely frustrating nuisance.

    Mortgage insider Steve
If you want any mortgage company to stop calling you all you need to say is "Take me off the list", once you do that the lead they are using to call you must be removed from there system. If they don't 90% of those conversations are recorded due to the CFPB, and if it happens repeated mention that it'll stop. Telling them that you are "Not interested" is not a way to get removed off this list, neither is picking ups and hand ups, straight to VM. That is viewed by most companies as a opportunity to work the lead harder. However, just as a note to that if for some reason another lead is generated they will call you again. In which case you have to repeat the process.

Extra leads get generated by mortgage companies when you have a tri-merge credit report (what mortgage companies use, but also happens with cars and boats) is pulled. While this might seem like a dirty practice, its actually something that you usually agreed to within your mortgage contract when you bought your house. Other reasons can be from you going to a place like lending tree, its asking for your information for a reason. So if you don't want calls don't put in really info.

I have Nationstar as my current lender on my mortgage, but not for long. I refinanced with them a few years ago and it was a complete nightmare. Normally when you refinance you get a one month by on your mortgage payment. Well, I got my one month by and then the bill for the next month which said $0 due. I called and spoke to four different people if this was correct and I didn't have to make a payment. They said yes. Well, then I get my bill for the next month and much to my horror, it was double. When I called and asked what had happened, they said they had made an accounting error and I should have made the previous month's payment. Well, who can pay two mortgages in one month? So, I made arrangements to pay off the missing month in four monthly payments. This was the start of a huge fiasco too long to type up here, but I was basically on the phone with them every week trying to clear up their mistakes (they applied one of my payments to someone else's loan is an example). It took 6 months to clear everything up and I refuse to give them access to my bank account (I send payments to them through my bank). During that entire time I always spoke to different people, had to explain everything from start to finish every time, and always had to follow up and keep detailed documentation of when I did interact with them. They are horrible! Now that I've sold my home, they called me and addressed me as Mr. when I'm a woman. When I corrected him, he then said he couldn't pronounce my name and continued to add insult. The purpose of the call was to see if they could help me with my new loan. Hell no!!!

I get a call from this number almost every day and this has been going on for two weeks now.  When I called back to see who it was I was put on hold to "wait or the next representative" by a recording and the call never gets answered while you are made to wait and listen to elevator music.
