So who's callin' me and what do they want

000 number called me talking about credit card interes rates. it was pre recorded and told me to press 1 for assistance. i did so and a man came on the line. i asked who it was and they immediately hung up on me. tried calling back and it was unavailable. contacted the phone company and they said its a scam. filed a complaint with the attorney general.

BEWARE!

When I answered, a recording said - This is card member services and would I like to lower my rate.  I pressed 9 to talk to someone, I politely asked how can I stop receiving these calls and he said:
"You have to die and then we will bug your spouse"  and then he hung up.
I called my credit card company and they said it was not them.

To avoid answering calls from this scumbags, program them in your telephone directory as
SCAMMER 1,2,3,4,5- This will trigger you on not answering the call. Keep on reporting this number
on both Federal & State no call list.

This number just called me on September 10, 2010 at 11:45am ET and did not leave any message. Caller is a frequent caller even though I am on the State & Federal Do Not Call Lists. Glad I have Caller ID. I never answer a non-local number if I don't recognize who it's from. That's as bad as the scammers who use the company name "Toll Free Call" and think people are dumb enough to answer the phone.

No message left.  First time I received a call from this number on 9/15/10

Received call from 219-000-5567 about credit cards, consolidating my payments and getting a lower interest rate on 10-1-2010.  I have no balance on credit cards.  I am also on the no-call list for cell phone and home phone for federal and state listings.  Caller keeps calling - frequently. I normally do not answer numbers that I do not recognize, however, I was awaiting an important call from a medical facility out of the area.  Want these calls to stop and remove my number from their data base.

The reason it has 000 is because they have part of the number blocked, but according to the phone company the number is from Gary Indiana.

219-000-5567 is a supposed credit card service to get your interest rate on current cards reduced.  Initially, the message was recorded and directs you to press a number to speak with a representative.  i did that, and got a live person.  I told her I wanted my name removed from their call list, and she just hung up.  No "okay, we'll do that", no 'bite me", nothing.  I have a small notebook next to my phone where I document these calls and caller ID #. However, my research indicates to get more information on unwarranted callers, such as name of company, where tyey are located, names,... so I will do that.  I'd rather spend a few minutes now to stop these people who can't follow the rules, than to have to endure their nuisance calls forever.

We get these calls all the time. Another number they use is 825-000-3228. We let these calls go to the machine. We are on the no call list aswell. I feel the "no call list" is a waste of time if we aren't able to stop these harrassing calls.

They called and wanted money. I said "Well if you want that money, come and find it, 'cause I don't know where it is ya baloney ..."

We have received probably 20 calls in the last 2 weeks from this #. Get the same message each time and have not done 9 yet. We will the next time and just answer their questions and give them a bogus credit card# if they ask. Probably trying to get card#s.
