this country code, 223 is Mali Republic

this call rings through several times a day, as well as the 6600 and the 6500 numbers. I try try to respond I do not get through. the person speaks barely decipherable english and is rude. what can we do??? on my call log I have this number showing up 75 to 100 times a month!

update: This is a debt that I have paid and have the cancelled check for but they still call and leave recorded message on the home phone and when they call the cell REPEATEDLY, they don't answer when I pick up and they don't leave messages. It is NCO Financial debt collectors.

My wife received a call from an Indian sounding person who asked for me by name.  When I answered he said he was from a financial collection agency trying to collect a $2008 Amercian Express card debt.  I told him I had no outstanding debt and the guy would not stop talking and kept asking if the last four digits of my "social" were 3712.  I told him they were not and not to call me any more.  I also told him I suspected him of attempting fraud and would check with American Express to be sure.  He said he would not call me again.  I checked with American Express and they assured me there was no balance on my account.  I am still bothered by the fact this unknown person has my name, telephone number, and knows I have an American Express credit card!

I would think it was a scam becuase this is an international number and there is no way I am giving anyone overseas that I don't know my banking or cc information.

This company has tried to collect on a debt from over 10 years ago. Even put it back on my credit after it fell off. They call me at all hours of the day and night and ask me to verify personal information. I had come across a notice that there was an attorney filing a class action law suit against them. If anyone has information or is filing suit against them please let me know I would love to be involved.

We got a call looking for a kathryn morgan and there is no such person here. He called me and I told him there is no one here at that name, a few minutes later he called my coworker next to me, and asked for the same woman, and she told him the same thing.  He could just be going through our company directory and asking for this person.

Called several times during the day on my cell phone and even my work number. They never left a message. Since the area code didn't look familiar, I never answered my phone. 9-23-2008

Woman calls same time each day, everytime I say hello back she hangs up, I was about to accuse my husband of infidelity as he works overseas!, until I googled the number.

they called and left a message - sounded like someone was dieing, or being beat to death and calling out for help. I got so worried I called people in my family to see if everyone was ok.

Indian accent and calls repeatedly...same here! calls me EVERY single day...3am, 9 am, 5 pm, 8 pm...
i'm reading all your comments and i'm really scared of this guy!

Very Pushy,Not good English for (on the phone job)Just hang up. theres nothing they can do legally anyway if you dont have the money,you dont have it.
