99$ of the time, a computer is making these calls...having no idea who might be on the other end (and they really don't care), but most of the time when someone "live" answers, the thing will signal a live person on their end who does all the "harassing" and/or sales/scam pitch!  These computers, hence the term "robocall" can dial hundreds of numbers at the same time...and the whole operation is a boiler room type of scenario.  In addition, they can spoof numbers to make the call appear it's coming from many different parts of the country.  My solution, like others, is to not answer a call I don't recognize; if it's from a friend or family or legitimate business, they will likely leave a message; if not, too bad!

Don't know why they called my cell phone.  I did not answer.  I am 66 years old and I hope I don't have any student loans out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has been calling past couple of days leaving no message.

Received the call today.  Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer.  Then, I checked this site.  I will now block the call.  Very annoying.  The Do Not Call list is worthless.

They don't leave messages in the hopes that you will call them back because you may think it was an important call.  Many will call back, therefore they can say YOU initiated the contact with them.  Phone records will show that you made a call if it should ever become a court case.

This number has called me twice. It came up as a call from Illinois so of course I didn't answer. I don't know anyone who lives there, so why would I? Also they never leave a voicemail so in my book that means not worth calling back. I am on the government Do Not Call list as well but I still get random calls from various places that never leave a message so I just ignore. 3 times a charm..if they call again I will block it.

Called my cell. I did not anser because it wasn't recognized. Checked here. I'm on the Do Not Call list.

Got call from these pests.I didn't answer,if I don't recognize the number I will not answer,and if the call is a ligit call or important the caller can and would leave a message.
So,stay strong and don't answer we can put robo companies out of business.
And I agree the do not call register is worthless,and might be the source that some companies get our numbers...

Missed call from this number and called back (oops) - got recording that said I was not authorized to call this number (was calling from my cell.)
Weird - wonder if they were out of the country...

called me 7/17 and again 7/21- no message and cannot call them back

Lets pray that these scammers get a good and painful form of incurable cancer for every person that they scammed out of money. Jesus needs to hurry up and return already!

Have received a few calls over the last few days from 224-202-7359, and never get a voice mail. I've added to my auto-reject list as well. Thanks for posting, y'all!
