Scam. Threatening me if I don't pay them something.

Hmm...what sort of threat?  Call back got, "Hello, our office is trying to reach (stated full name of someone) regarding a personal matter.  If you are (redacted name) please press 1 to speak to an agent now.  If you are not (redacted name) or do not know this person at all, press 2."  I pressed 2 and it went to voicemail.  It sounds like a debt collector and the fact that they don't identify themselves makes me think it is either a fake or zombie debt collector.  Legitimate, established, professional debt collectors, identify themselves as such and have identification built into their phone response.  So if by "threatening" you mean they demanded cash payment or they would sue, you were probably contacted by a phony debt collector.  Here's information from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on how to tell real from fake debt collectors.  Worth a read.
