If you hold on for about 10 seconds, someone does pick up the phone, I guess the delay has to do with their auto-dialers.  The person spoke English, but as someone stated above, it's not native english, so I'm guessing they're not from north america.  They asked me political-themed issues and I said I wasn't interested in answering those kinds of questions, and that they should call someone else.

My Suggestion would be to call them and demand you are placed on their Do Not Call List. Also as the other posting suggested, Place your Number Cell and Landline with The Do Not Call Registry.

Just like you all I keep getting phone calls from this number. I don't know what it is about and do not care. I don't know if this company is trying to see if someone is at home, doing a survey or what. However, if they continue to call they will get cussed the f--- out. I am so sick and tired of these people who have nothing better to do with their time. However, someone mentioned something about them trying to see when someone answers the phone (maybe to verify when someone is at home), trust me, come to my house and it will be the last time you worry if someone is at home or not. And to the person that said they took a survey and then the person on the other end asked them to verify their information, tell the smarta---- if they have your information then you don't need to verify s---. The economy is too bad for some of these fools to try and play games. They will run up on the wrong person and get the crap beat out of them.

As many others, I'm receiving the same type calls from this company.  Please be aware that the federal Do Not Call list will not respond to one complaint.  It takes many, so file with www.donotcall.gov today.  It's best to let the answering machine take this call.  This company could be casing homes to create a burglary list.

they just called my phone, and it's a relatively new number (i just got the phone a month ago) how do they get cell phone numbers?

I just called their main number and dialed a random person's extension.  I left a message with my cell number (the one they have been calling) and told them that if they ever called me again, especially at TEN AT NIGHT I was going to go straight to the newspaper and the TV stations.  I may not be able to log a complaint with the Do Not Call people (which is BS) but I can get them exposed in the media.  I told them that if they EVER called me again I would bring down their company.  *shrug*  Maybe I can finally get someone to listen and take me off their damn list.

Was just a recording from Mountain West Research Center and how they wanted me to take some type of survey.  Gave their website, www.mwrcenter.com  Had to go to the website to get a telephone number so that someone would actually respond so that I could tell them to put me on their do not call list.  That number is 208-232-1818.   When I told them I was on the government do not call list, was told "we don't sell anything so we can call".  I reported them.

They never leave a message.

Nuisance Calls from Research Center, 231-224-2032 have been occurring several times a day and night for the past week. Reverse telephone look-up places them in Fremont,MI, but the number is unlisted otherwise.

this number has been calling my cell phone repeatedly for weeks several times a day; i answered 2x's through all of this, and both times no one was there; now i just don't answer.

231 224-2032 has tried to contact me 5 - 7 times now. I found this on their web-site.  So I guess it will be worth a try to e-mail them to take me off their list.

They just started calling me - the past two nights.  No message either time.  Reverse look-up shows an unpublished land line in Michigan.  I just called the number back and got a recorded message that the number is to Mountain West Research Center and is "your opportunity to be heard" and they "request your participation in research studies", basically for politicians from what I understood.  Their website address is www.mwrcenter.com.

I was getting several calls a day from these people too.  I kept ignorning the calls & not picking up, but the calls were just too much.  Finally, I picked it up, stopped them short in their speech & told them I was on the DO NOT CALL LIST & requested to be removed from their list.  The woman was short with me & a bit surprised, but she agreed.  Then, I said to her "I want to confirm with you that I will be removed, right??!!".  Then, a bit shortly, she said "YES".
So, then I decided to use an option on my own phone "BLOCK", which I've never used before, I blocked the telephone #.  Honestly, once it worked nicely, I've added quite a few to my personal "Block" list.
Check to see if you have a "BLOCK" option on your own phone too...it's as easy as hitting a button or two, & let's face it...all these BS phone calls have become a quality of life issue already!!  Good Luck Everyone!!

I finally decided to answer the call.  I then asked the young lady to take me off their call list.  She tried to argue with me, so I asked for her supervisor.  I then asked for his full name and if he actally was the supervisor and had to the authority to remove my number from thier call list.  I also told him I was recording our conversation (I wasn't actually) and had him confirm the number.  This company was sold my information by BANK OF AMERICA.  I know this from the name they used (my legal name and not one I normally use) and I just opened an account with B of A last month.  DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH BANK OF AMERICA unless you want them to sell your information.

This number called my CELL PHONE last night.

I used to work with Mountain West Research.  We recently got laid off, due to the poor economy.  However, we do not sell anything so the whole do not call list does not apply.  The calls are generated through a dialer so when you pick up it takes a little bit for it to send to the interviewer on the other line.  If you wait and just say please put me on the do not call list we have to do it otherwise we get fired.  Legally we can call till 10 PM local time.  sometimes we need to fill quota and call a little past  that time.  Just google Mountain West Research layoff Pocatello and you will see me on the local news complaining about prejudice of firing us "ugly" people.

Yesterday, 3/10/2010, I received a call from a female at Mountain West Research Center asking to speak to my wife.  I asked, "why are you calling here because we were on the do not call list."  The person said that they were not restricted in that way.  I asked her not to call back and she hung up in my face.  Today, I received another call from someone else.  When I told the person not to call again, they hung on me as well.  I fell that both ladies acted very unprofessionally and I plan to write a letter to the FCC regarding this.

Multiple calls throughout the day, usually on the weekend.
