This is a survey company that Ford Motor Company uses to follow up with customers who had their vehicle in for service.

So did ATT make them pay? How ridiculous are you. So many people complain about poor customer service from so many companies, then a company spends millions on a division devoted entirely to improving customer service and you complain. Geez, are you so busy that you can't answer some questions about your experience. I'm guessing the McDonalds you work for must have great customer service.

Yes, we complain about receiving cold callers and how much we hate it. So as you said they spend millions on MORE COLD CALLERS..  What a fantastic idea!!!!!  ( insert sarcasm here )

I'll bring to your attention the above post from whom you are degrading.  He doesn't even have a Ford.  So the millions of wonderful dollars to HELP us are going down the drain as they can't even get the facts right to start with.

Keeps calling, no message.  Like life isn't busy enough without getting stupid calls that you don't know who is calling and don't leave a message.

Just got a call from this number, it was a woman.  She said she had the wrong number. I googled the number 240-699-8907, from Buckeystn, MD, this website came up and I did just have service done on my Ford vehicle so the other poster's on this site are correct. I'm sure it was a survey about service from my Ford dealer.

I have no idea who this number belongs to, but they did not leave a message, when I did not answer.

The phone rang twice.  I was just fed up enough with spam calls I decided to answer it and tell them off in person rather than block them.  However, when answering on the second ring, I got a dial tone. No I called back and got a saccharine voice telling me how they (Merit Research), were violating no laws by calling me, as a matter of fact, they were doing me a favor, because they were just going to ask me some questions, however, if I didn't want them to call me at all, I could call a different number to tell them not to call me at all. I chose to block them instead.  Insisting sweetly you are breaking no laws is worse than the call in the first place.

If you did business with a company, like having your car serviced at Ford, they are allowed to call you even if you are on the Do Not Call list.

I keep getting calls from 240-699-8907.  They don't talk when I answer and they don't leave a message.  It is very annoying.

Have received numerous calls from this number and they never leave a message.  Called and it appears to be a marketing research company.  Several here have mentioned a connection to Ford dealers.  Calls started a couple of days after getting mechanical work done at the local Ford dealership so I believe Ford is selling your contact info to marketers.

if you call the 800 number you get an automated survey.  not a chance to get off their ,list.  they call my cell daily.  i'd like to burn their building down.

Yes it it but the weird thing is I already did my survey and have not been back since so why are they calling me 5 times a day?

It is Ford, if you pick up they take a second to answer. in my case i just had my car serviced at the dear, wanted to make sure i was happy with the service, or and comments i'd like to pass along to the dealer. also told me a questioner would be sent to me, to further see how i liked the ford service, nothing more nothing less.

This is Ford Motor Co and you probably had an oil change or other service at a Ford facility. The call is a followup to that service to poll you for a satisfaction report.

Had auto oil change - it is the research company that follows up to rate the dealership's work etc.
