This Life Insurance Company called my cell phone number.  Thankfully, I did not pick it up, and they did not leave a message.  

Really?  Cell phone numbers, too?  I almost wish I HAD picked it up so I could have given them a piece of my mind.

They got my number from CareerBuilder.

they said they got my name from career builder too...said they are american profit a debt collector company.

I received a call from this number and the voice mail said they would like me to call back regarding questions for my resume.  They said they got it from hotjobs and I have no doubt they did because I am currently seeking employment but after researching this company it seems unlikely I will call back.  I was called from 248-687-7790 and asked to call back on 248-283-5388.  The name of the company seems to vary according to who is reporting a complaint but they said the company name was American Income Life Insurance.

Got 5 calls in 2 days from this number ... they too said they got my number from Career Builders ... all I'm trying to do is get a job and now I'm on some bull sh**t list.  Just added it to my do not accept phone number lists.  Plus, whoever is calling ... I can barely understand ... it's from 248 area code via India??

Got a few calls from this #, apparently some life insurance co. recruiting for non-paid (commission) sales positions.
They keep calling me Liz!  And that's not my name, and not even close.

248 is an Oakland County, Michigan number.  I received the same call today but told them to call me back and never did.

I received two calls yesterday.  They were asking for my son, a cook, and got my number.  I live in Kentucky.

received two calls in two days stating they received my information from Monster. The lady who calls is almost demanding that I call her back as they are "hiring immediately". After investigating the company this is a commission based (non salary) position. No thanks!

I am so happy that I found this site. I am looking for a job too.  A lady named Tina called me and said that she found my resume on careerbuilder.com. I even have an interview in one hour with Mr. Boldon. Now that I know what this is about, I am just going to treat this interview as practice for future interviews. It is very sad to me that any one has access to our information on careerbuilder. Like everyone here, I am just trying to find a job.

Same with me.  Tina called demanding I call her back as soon as possible because they are hiring immediately.  Glad I looked to see who it was.  I was suspicious...don't know why, but it's a good thing to follow one's intuition.

Same here....So i guess i don't have an interview tomorrow.

These people are posting this ad on Craigslist. Thankfully I google all numbers listed on Craigslist ads. Besides this site coming up in the google search, AMERICAN INSURANCE LIFE CO. pops up, its ashame that people are so fradulent. This is the ad posted on craigslist:
