There's a bigger story than annoying phone calls: My parents had phoned their credit card company to inform them they were going to travel outside the country, so not to be alarmed when the credit card gets used overseas. The next day, a call came in from 250-260-3907, and when I answered, they hung up. Another call came in the following day from the same number, and the lady on the phone explained they were doing a 'call quality survey' and wanted to speak to the person who phoned the credit card company three days prior. I told them they were out of town (now I see that as a mistake), and it got me wondering; if these calls were actually a surveillance technique intended to determine when the house was empty, so as to better schedule a burglary. Very suspicious and totally annoying.

call was a survey group on behalf or rogers canada "for your call to the customer service line yesterday" - 3 minutes - "very satisified, satisified, dissatisifed, very dissatisified" - please rate type questions... don't know if they use the same # for other companies they do surveys for or if it was just rogers #

Called me on my iPhone, I answered.  Nothing but silence for a few seconds.  So I hung up.

This number has called me twice and when I answer with a "helo", noone say anything then the call hangs up. I too find this odd. I call the number back and a recording says it's with a survey company (something like that) or it rings busy. Seems like a scam to me. I don't and wouldn't recommend trusting it.

More spam once they get you on the list your number is always harrassed

im not answering, they didn't leave a VM... they are from British Columbia (says my caller ID)

They are from SQM (Service Quality Measurement Group).
Check out their website.  They are supposed to represent a bunch of companies.
To get off the calling list call 1-800-446-2095.
Remember to ask that you be put on the Do Not Call List for ALL companies that they are AFFILIATED with.

i think this call is from a hacker who is good in computers.I've been called many times from this number.

I called 1-800-446-2095 and politely asked Tracy (who answered that it was SQM) if her company was responsible for the phone call from 250-260-3907 and she very kindly confirmed that it was.  I then asked, in a very polite manner, to have my number removed from all lists for all companies that SQM is affiliated and related to.  She asked me for the number, I gave it to her, and she confirmed that it will be removed within 24 hours.  I hope that she is telling me the truth!

Answered a call from 250-260-3907.  Nobody was there despite it was connected.  I hung up after about 15 seconds.

Got a call from this number 250-260-3907 about 5 minutes ago. Dead air and then disconnect after about 5 seconds. Annoying as hell.

I keep getting calls from this number (250-260-3907) as well. They do surveys for companies such as Rogers.  I was on the phone with Rogers call centre last night.

Following suggestions I found here, I called 1-800-446-2095, spoke with a polite woman whose first language was English and told her I didn't want to receive calls. No problem.  Hopefully it works.

Answered a call from this number. Voice on the other end said they had my family and if I ever wanted to see them again I had to apply for an American Express card. I laughed then hung up as the joke is on him....I have no family. They're marketeers people, the world is overrun with them. As long as there's air to breathe they will call.

I also received calls from this number and when I pick it up, no one is there. I called the 1-800-446-2095 from the information I got from these posts and asked them to take me off their calling list.  She said it would take 24 hours.  Better late than never!!
