I got a call from this number on my cell phone yesterday and then today on my home phone. On my voicemail message i do NOT leave either phone numbers so i have NO idea how they got both my numbers! No messages left. So i tried to return the call today - and i got "the number you dialed is not in service" STRANGE! i'm from Vancouver Island - BC

Same scam again.  Was a message telling me that I had won 100,000 air miles.  Then asked me to press some options.  Once there, a man came on and told me he needed my credit card info?  Um why, if I won something???  He couldn't respond...  I hung up

They called my internal extension, then a couple of hours later my cell phone. I won 100,000 travel miles!
Whatever that is.
It is scammers using social engineering to try to steal from us. CRTC doesn't care.

Same as before, 100,000 airmiles. Not sure where they got my #, only friends and family have it I thought...

Could not return call

Neat, I just got 100,000 free Air Miles!! Maybe I can share them with my Nigerian Uncle holding my one million dollars for me.

Yeah it's a scam. I hung up as I'm not an Airmiles member and no one has this phone number.... it only got hooked up 24 hours ago lol. I tried calling them back but go joy.

When you get these calls from Scotia Bank or HSBC or anyone, the secret is to tell them to take you off their "internal call list".  By Canadian law, they must do this!

If you continue to hear from them, then you can call the CRTC and lodge an official complaint.


To file a complaint you will need

   Your phone number (where the call was received)
   The name or phone number of the telemarketer
   The date you received the call

I pressed 1 and got an East Indian man with a very thick accent.  I told them to remove me from their internal call list and he hung up on me.

Total scam.

got this phone call today after receving numerous calls over the last few days from another suspicious number 866-369-9886.  they are related somehow

got a call saying I won 100,000 air miles then youi go on hold and then another guy comes on saying I won a vacation but you have to be over 25 ...I think there was more questions but I said who uis this are you for real and then the phone went dead ...buggers

The telephone number was in my list of missed calls on cell phone.  When I called to see who it was, got the, "This number is not in service" spiel.

These idiots phoned me at 8:00 last night at my work line.   There was unintelligible voicemail. I'm not sure who these [***] are, but if I could track them down, I would give them a swift kick in the ass.
