FRAUD ALERT!!! I received three SPAM call today from this number. I’m sure it is from the same scam outfit using software to fake the origin numbers (like phishing emails).

From what I've learned - they are running several scams. The basic scam is this: They pretend to be conducting a political survey, as political calls are not blocked by the do not call list. They ask two or three easy questions, and tell you that you won a gift – like a free ship cruise. Then they will ask for your credit card number to pay for taxes and fees. Or they will do some variation of the above scam, like offering to reduce your credit card interest rate.

They always come back to the credit card - be aware! And if you do go on the cruise, the actual costs will go higher and higher, and you will be forced to attend a timeshare session before the cruise – so you lose more time.

Don’t bother pressing (1) to be removed from their list – that doesn’t work, as the criminals will not remove you from their call list, and may even increase the frequency of their calls. The FTC is pretty useless if they can't track and trap these abusers of our phone system. Remember – the callers are NOT a legitimate business - they are criminals/scammers trying to get your credit card number so they can defraud you. Don't even answer the phone, don't call back, just block them.

I have added all of the scam phone numbers to my blocked phone list - so I will never be bothered again. If you cannot block calls - just add the number to your phone book, with "No Name" and set the ringer to silent. If they call again, you will not hear the ring.

Caller ID reflects "Customer Support" no message.

Stop calling my house at Wounce

Calls me every other day, but did not leave any message!  Caller ID: Customer Support.

Why are people doing this?  It doesn't make sense! INSANE.

These callers are  SCAMS. They call all the time. DO not give them any information and you CAN BLOCK them if you have that setting.  Here are the numbers that I found to be SCAMMERS!!!! I am keeping a log and will be posting them each time they call!

Repeated calls from this telemarketer selling "yard signs". I was tired of getting these calls and got a live person on the line for a change. I was loud and somewhat rude to her, and she just told me "oh shut up". At least I think I made a dent in her pathetic day. Can't wait for the next call.

Got call from this number. Dead silence.

I just received one of these calls.

I waited for a human. The first words out of her mouth were "Can I have your name and number?"

It wasn't a question.

I said "Actually, I was going to ask who represent."

The response:

Is a
Big
Fat
[***]!"

When I called the number in my caller ID all that was at the other end was a suggestion that I remove myself from a list.

Why should I validate that my number for them in order to remove me from a list that I should not be on? I am on the NATIONAL list.

It's spelled ONCE!

Received call from "Customer Support" 253-382-9083 2:00 pm CST.  Same message mentioned below about FBI reporting breakins.  I took the call and asked the rep the company name.  She told me Home Security Systems.  When I asked her the co's phone number, she hung up.

Reported it to the National Call Registry hotline even tho I'm already registered

Blocked #.

Also got the "FBI has reported break-ins" robocall.  Hung up.  
Husband suggests that it is someone who wants to break in and is trying to find out who's home and who's not, or just get info, case the joint by phone if you will.
My call block capacity is full and more and more such numbers calling every day.  The fact that these are now all scams, makes me long for the good old days of annoying telemarketers.  At least they were honestly trying to sell something.  We are on the DO NOT CALL list, but let's face it, scammers are criminals trying to rob and steal, they're hardly going to obey the DO NOT CALL law.

What can we do about this when they even mask their own identity?  Reporting them to the DO NOT CALL list isn't going to help.

I also wonder if the DO NOT CALL list has been hacked, and is actually a source of info for this activity.

I don't understand what you mean about saving it to my phonebook with "no name".  Do you mean just delete the name and then it will not ring???   Or does your phonebook have an option to select "no name?"

I called the number back. Machine answered. It said to press 1 if you no longer wish to receive calls from this number. I am also on the do not call list but I guess that list is obsolete now. The idiots figured a way around it.

Just received another call from 253-382-9083. Annoying! How can I make them stop calling? I am on NO CALL lists for home & cell phone. Nothing stops these people. UGH...help!
