Got a phone call from this number this morning at 7:39 am and it was an indian man claiming to be from "windows" and wanted to know "are you the primary user of 'the computer' in question" he didn't say which computer, we have many computers in the house but I hung up the moment I heard it was from windows, because I know for a fact no computer company will call you about your computer like this.

This guy calls me all the time on weekends, holidays, and anticipated days off. I love messing with him until he gets mad and hangs up. But, he is persistent. Take notice that he or she never that they are calling on behalf of Microsoft(R), but Windows(R). That is your first tell that this is a scam. Second tell: why does he ask if there are other users of the computer or computers in your home? Network or PC intrusions can happen while you are on your computer with you sitting right in front of it. Third tell: notice that when he quits talking the back ground noise (other talking) stops. A VOX headset will stay on with discernable voices in the back ground. The background noise is added by his phone/computer only when he talks/VOX activates. Fourth tell: he can never tell you the computer (Windows License) that is under attack or what type of attack. Norton or McAfee can tell you all of this when they call, especially Microsoft(R). Why can't he? I use to be an MSCE in my previous profession. This guy is a fraud. He will get you to go to a web site or url and accept a remote access tool to your PC. He will load an adware to lock you out after he is done and will blackmail you for a credit card charge to give you back access to your computer. But, by then there is no telling how much damage he will have done or how much he has stolen or how much he will keep charging you for more recovery of access to your data. It is all legal because you will jump through hoops at the beginning of  this process to authorize installation of his remote access tool. I know someone this has happened to and it is ugly. These remote access tools bypass your antivirus and OS firewall protections. "It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and I'm wearing milk bone underware!"

I received a call at 6:47 a.m. saying he was from Windows and wanted to know about my computer.  I also hung up.  We are on the do not call list plus have the 1 on our phone to tell people to hang up if they are selling.  How do you stop them?

Called today at 3 pm from 258-635-3256 ten seconds into conversation I hit the BLOCK NOW Button and another one bit the dust. Installed a V5000 Call Blocker in May of this year and the nuisance calls dropped by 90%.

7:40 am Sat morning, wife answers tells them to not call so early and hangs up. Calls back again within a second of hanging up. I answer, he asks me three times if I am Mr. Sacks I replied twice then told him he’s to stupid to be making these calls and that it is way to early, he responds with it’s urgent tech support etc. I laugh and say I’m not falling for his B.S. called him a name the Indian’s hate (worked there awhile so I know this is a button) calls back a third time. Then I say great, I have your coordinates now. The proper authorities are on the way. He hangs up and does not call back. 🤣🤣🤣
