Its a scam for sure

may26 2010... They called to give me a lower interest rate on my credidt card... they talked likethey were my credit card holder but needed me to tell them my acct number. I told'em they called me about my acct...they should know what it is and i shouldn't need to provide it. Good thing..I called my credit card and they said they weren't offering any lower credit card services and that it was a scam.

Stop these telemarketer scams.    Report the telemarketing telephone number to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at its website:

Click on the link:  "File A Complaint"

You do not need to register your phone number with the Do Not Call Registry in order to file a compaint.

The greater number of complaints the FTC receives about a specific telemarketer's number, the more likely the FTC will act to stop their annoying calls.

This number 269-768-2214 is probably not an actual phone number, but a fake display phone number used by a bogus telemarketing scam company that tries to get credit card information.

You should not let this number go to voice mail if at all possible.
You should answer the call, but do not say anything.
You can answer it and then hang up the call without talking.
Under no circumstances should you press 1 and talk to the actual person.
This will alert the automatic dialing computer that your number is a live number
with someone who answers.

This are just my personal suggestions based on common sense.

Received this on my cell today.  Pressed 1 and told the girl that I wanted to be removed from their list and was hung up on.  Called the number back and it was an automated system to be removed from the call list.  We'll see...

The same thing happened to me, although my live person hung up on me when I tried to clarify what company he was representing.

Gotten 2 calls in 3 days from this number. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up. No voicemail let or anything.

Just got the call today. I missed the call but they left no message. Since only friends and colleagues have my number, I thought it odd some unknown no. was calling on a Sat. Good thing I looked the no. up! Now I have to find out just how they got my contact info.

I received a call from this number this afternoon. I let it go to voicemail and no message was left. I called the number back and it said something along the lines of, "Thank you for calling member services." It did give me an option to remove my number from their call list.
