This is a message service.  My son's school uses this company for sending mass notifications out to everyone registered.

The company is TechRadium in Sugarland, TX - they are a bona fide company that send mass alert notifications.  I just got a strange call that sounded like I had just left a message, but must be a system glitch.  In general, very robust reporting via SMS, email, and phone used by schools, military, and large businesses.

It is a severe weather warning call in our area.

recieved msg saying it was the US army, have family in Afghanistan... made it sound like a not so welcome notification call.  not appreciated

Received a robo call telling me that a fiber optic line had been cut and my local schools did not have internet or connectivity today.

So? This is important, why? What a waste of an alert system. This will lead to people blocking the number and then failing to get REAL messages about shootings/violence/absentees/etc.

My church uses this message service to pass along news to it's members.  Caller ID said Caller Unknown so I didn't answer but also received an email with the same message that was left on my phone.

call came in 5:51P.M., Unknown name, so I let it go to voicemail-strange thing though it seemed to ring excessively long number of times and no voicemail msg was left.  I checked my #rings and it seems they doubled up the call somehow to cause extra ring time.  Annoying and should be illegal.

I was standing with a group of soldiers and all of our phones started ringing at the same time. All of us just looked at are phone and said they were getting a call from the same 281 number. Baffled, I answered it and received the message, "This is a test of the Army Emergency Alert System." A few others in the group answered and received the same message.

I received one in regards to weather claiming to be from the same Army Emergency Alert System. I don't know how to stop them other than blocking the number.

8-27-11, 4:47P.M. Phone began ringing, I checked caller ID and showed Unknown Name so I let it go to voicemail.  This must have gone into some automatic dailer mode because it maxed out my answering machine.  My phone is for those I GIVE my number to.  The people are creeps.

I keep getting auto dialer calls every Friday. I wish it would stop

Was a message from my kids middle school just about what's going on...report cards being sent, pics sent home, red ribbon week etc..Is a pretty neat system if you are actually suppused to be on the call list. This site was helpful in me actually calling back to get the message since my VM was full.

Got this call at 2:30 AM on my house phone which # is not associated to anything and I DO NOT give out.  No message left.

Received a call at 12:05 AM and I did not answer. Started researching the number this  morning and read through this list. I tried calling the number back and an automated system stated that it did not recognize the number I was calling from.

stop calling me at 617-875-7158.  i don't know why you are calling me and don't want these blast messages.

This is not from a school. Its a scam do not answer.

Got a call from this number, it was military related about what time the unit would be getting back from Afghanistan.  Not a scam.

This was a valid robo-call on behalf of my water district. The message informed me about a water main that was being closed, when it was being closed, and the affected areas.

Got a message from "IRIS" and a call 281-207-4890 about the same event... Is there a way to remove myself from both lists.. and What is IRIS?
