I've been getting the same call saying my SSN is under investigation and the Sherriff will be at my door. And that they will be contacting my employer. And if they take me to court I have to pay they're legal fees which could be $3,000 or more.

I get the same exact calls. Same voice always calls changes his name from Bryan Evans to Richard Brown and has a Indian accent. Now the they say the Sherriffs will be at my door with a subpoena for my court hearing if I don't call them back.

i have been receiving these calls since I applied on-line for a loan last Friday. This guy with a very heavy arab accent claims to be Brian Evans from a Houston law firm and that my ss# and e-mail were under investigation.  He also claims to have a warrant for my arrest and if I do not call him back there will be a law officer at my door in the next few days.  Nothing really specific and no real documentation of the charges against me.  So that being said we all know this is a scam from the get-go and they are just out to sucker someone in to giving them money.  This number needs to be reported and taken out of circulation as soo as possible. Eventually someone will be scared by their tactics and send them money and then they win again!

I have never applied for an online loan...so I know this is a scam.  Back in November I got these same calls and voicemails...they would call and call again 2 minutes later.  After a week of their calls and threats...I called back. I started very polite to find out where they were from...because if you Google Houston Law Firm...there is no such named law firm.  Then I proceeded to tell him he was a fraud because I had never taken out a loan and that our country did not handle legal actions that way and he was representing a false business...all illegal. I said if you ever call me again I will turn you in to the FTC...the FBI and MY local sheriff. They stopped calling.... until yesterday...Mike Smith
..is back at it again.  I will again file with the FBI.  Palestinian piece of [***]....I am more than annoyed now!!!

Just so you know...I just called Mike Smith's direct extension and Richard Brown answered.... not American.  I asked when I took out this loan...he says last year. I said well if you have legal affidavit in front of you to file against me then surely if must say an exact date...he says Sept is all I have for info.  I said stop right now...you are a scam I have never taken a payday loan and I do not have a checking account so what you are doing is illegal and he hung up on me.  Hopefully this is the end.
