They have been calling for 5 years!!! I'm disabled and they cannot garnish my disability. I'm repoting them to FTC. I get as many as 10 cals per day and I'm not tolerating this anymore!!!

You can also just make a game of it and cost them money.
Keep them on the phone as long as possible.
Pretend you’re hard of hearing and make them repeat themselves several times.
If you know another language, this is a great one.
If not, use Ebonics, which is a make up as you go language.
Best of luck and pay back with the same aggravation is my motto.
If you don’t want to mess with that, just forward the call to the Federal Trade Commission at 1-888-382-1222. You can probably do this through whatever phone company you have.
If you try to block the numbers, they have more and new ones will pop up.
If it continues, forward the calls to your state Senators or Congressman’s phone number.

I get these calls daily.  They never say anything.  Just ring, I answer, they hang up.

They are Asset acceptance,bottom feeder bill collectors.Dont talk to those idiots.

Our caller ID shows Asset Acceptance called home phone 3 times today starting at 8am.  This is a debt collector.  They have no reason to call us. We are on the donotcall.gov but it does no good for this type of caller. Between this and the telemarketers we no longer can answer our phone!!

I received a call from a debt collector, Asset Acceptance,  for Citibank stating that I owed $2,004.00.  I do not have a Citibank credit card, but I do have an unlisted phone number and I am on the "do not call" list.  Nothing is sacred in this (horrible) age of technology.  What can we do to stop this?  Please make people aware of this scam.  Thank you

I used to have to get up and check the caller id. Now with Comcast when the phone rings it shows the caller id on my tv screen. Out of area? I just let it ring. There is never a message left on the answering machine.

call your local phone company and ask them to block the call. It may cost a little, but, it may be worth it to stop the calls.

Debt collector unknown to me. I owe no debts to anyone.

I called this number back and I can't even understand what they are saying.  Sounds like they are from India.
