has called 3x always on Sunday

University of Maryland prefix. Number may have once belonged to school of dentistry. Call to mobile phone every day, late afternoon or early evening. Leaves no message. Answered it today, it immediately hung up. Reported it to provider as spam and blocked the number.

This is NOT a legitimate University of Maryland caller. They hit me up for a donation as "an alumni" but it became obvious they were in no way affiliated with the campus. Didn't know anything about the university's major landmarks or buildings. They claimed to be located in a building that is undergoing construction. SCAM

This is the University of Maryland calling, asking for donations. They called at 7:13 pm on a Sunday night, interrupting my dinner! I didn't think telemarketers were allowed to call on a Sunday night!
I graduated in 1995 and they've been calling me off and on for the past 25 years. I have told them numerous times over the past 25 years not to call me but they keep calling.
My number is on the FTC and Florida do not call list.

I'm not sure where all these rumors get started but they can easily be debunked by taking the time to look this stuff up. Heck you don't even have to leave your home to do it. Telemarketers are people who sell goods or services over the phone. These are not telemarketers. Further, pretty much everyone is allowed to call you from 8 am to 9 pm any day of the week including Saturday, Sunday, and a Holiday. Also, you failed to read what those registries cover since this is a charity call. Maybe take the time to read and learn so that you don't look foolish in the future?
