- chasityThis number calls me everyday at least 3 times a day with the same recording about fraudulent charges and summons and what not...they never give me a name just say a recorded case number and say call the legal dept.
- Caller: Never gave a name
- joyceTalk to the person today, told them I'm not giving them any info till they tell what it was about. He told me , well good luck in court and he hung up. Scam!!
- Over this!I have gotten the same "charges pending for fraudulent activity" message. The recording states that my SS# and name have been associated with fraudulent activity. The message states they are going to send me a summons at my home or work. They never give the name of the company or the contact person. If they leave a message, in addition to the threats there is only some case number. Don't know who they are or how they got my number.

The callers are scammers, posing as Debt Collectors, calling or contacting you without disclosing that they are debt collectors & trying to collect a debt.
Debt collectors violate the FDCPA when:
1. Calling or contacting you without disclosing that they are debt collectors trying to collect a debt
2. Pretending to work for a government agency
3. Threatening to have you arrested or jailed
4. Making empty threats to scare you
Don’t ever give-in to bogus debt collectors who are looking to coerce cash. Debt collectors are legally bound to send Debt Validation Notice of the debt by mail within 5 days of their first call. Those who call and threaten legal action are hoodlums looking for pain free income, if they can’t even send you a notice.
The fact is they can’t since they have no information aside from your phone number and may be name and a couple of other stolen data.
Don’t share any personal info including name, address etc
