I get weekly calls from comenity bank. They use various names, locations, and phone numbers. I have only had them use the name comenity bank once but the script is nearly identical every time. They are trying to scare you to reveal personal account info or payment info. Even to respond “yes” to one of their questions. Anything. They use the name of well-known retailers (Pier 1, David’s Bridal, etc) and plant a seed of doubt that maybe somewhere in the past you might have applied for a card or openend and account. You think oh dear I must’ve charged something to get the apply for a card discount and never paid it. No you didn’t. They want u to think u did. I’ve reported them to the FCC, the FTC, and the retailers they mention in their threatening messages. And yes I AM on the do not call list since 2006. I checked. Thanks to the end of net neutrality and new legislation that makes it legal for companies like this to sell and re-sell your information, you may get many more of these calls.  Once you give your email address to a retailer (for coupons, loyalty points, sales via email) the retailer has a “legitimate reason” to contact you. Contact the retailer mentioned in the voicemail (if they give one) and verify your status w them directly. Then get your info removed. Law requires lists to be regenerated every 60 or 90 days, so eventually it should go away. The law requires companies that call you to:
1. Show a company name on caller ID (this call does not)
2. State the callers name, the company name, and the reason they are contacting you (“this is ms x calling (my name) regarding an urgent matter” is NOT a clear declaration of any of these)

Got a message for a Steven (I don't know a Steven) with my last name. Telling me it was an escalated matter and I needed to contact them about an account I have with Dental First Financing. She said she was Miss Coleman from Community Capital Bank. This is definitely a scam!

I had a voicemail from this number. Mr. Thorpe said that he had an urgrnt message regarding someone i know about a "Carsons signature". They are a collections  company called Comenity Bank.

Caller identified herself as Comenity bank. Asked for my name and stated purpose of call was following up on references for someone else. That someone supposedly had me as a reference, although I do not know her. Sure seems like a scam of some sort. They record the call.

IT'S A SCAM!! First they left a voicemail saying they were Victoria secret with an outstanding balance and now it's Comenity Bank

So I looked up Community Bank and they closed down in 2011. Scam alert

Caller ID says Comenity (303)255-5354 I answered and Tom said my name and said I owed a debt to Bread Financial Community Bank which I never did business with. Person sounded suspicious cause first he says to call one number then excused himself and said to call another number to pay the debt. I did not give him any of my personal information and told him not to call my home again cause I do not own any accounts with them and I hung up. Now I get calls from them everyday at all hours of the day..this is evil and wrong! I will get a lawyer to fight these SCAMMERS!!!
