I'm trying to find out who's number this is. They called me yesterday and several times previous to that. It just comes up "Colorado". I don't know anyone in Colorado, nor have I ever lived in Colorado. Afraid to pick up because it's probably another telemarketer.

Bill collector, woman identified self as "Dawn Adams" but refused to leave the name of the company, stating only it was a personal matter.

It is the IRS doing a background check

They identify themselves as a debt collector for the Colorado Dept of Revenue.

called here twice, asking for Montel Williams, stating her name is Dawn Adams. Have no clue.

It is a bill collector identifying themselves  as working for the State of CO Wage Garnishment department. Asks for payroll department, Caller ID now comes up as Integral Recovery. I have reported this to the CO state department as fraud representing themselves as working for them. When asked to send an email requesting the information they need they hang up or get very pushy or today it was I will call someone else.

got a call from this number, a woman by the name of "Dawn Adams" tells my daughter she needs to speak to me about a "personal business matter." When I called back she would not identify who she works for, she mumbled something about "sales tax" nervously. Off the bat I knew she was a scammer. DO NOT give them ANY of your information. I told the woman to get a life and stop scamming people you see with foreign names with hopes of scamming them for money. She continued to yell at me and hang up. If these people continue to harass you (as they have me multiple times) please report their number to the police.

She called me today, saying I owe Colorado $6k in taxes!!!!  I was like what?
I have my tax return receipt and I got refund check from them.
Unfortunately she already scammed my last 4-digit of SSN and then got my employer's name..
I hope she won't use that against me somehow and try to steal my identity in the future.

I received a call from Dawn as well, I think he last name was Archuleta though. She said it was concerning money owed to the IRS. I told her that h&r block was the ones who messed up and we shouldn't have been charged that money. I also told her if they wanted the money they could get in line or start garnishing my wages, because that's the only way it will be paid.

She said her name was Dawn....

Same as the others. Dawn from Integral Recoveries calling to collect a debt to Colorado Dept of Revenue for my daughter (attended college for one semester in Boulder).  I posed as my daughter, wouldn't give my last 4 of SSN, just address.  When I explained "I" hadn't made any income to have to pay a debt to IRS, she said she would send the matter to the gov't, to which I replied you can also tell them to kiss my butt, they're not getting anything.  My daughter was in Colorado for 4 months and they said she owes $5,582 !!!  That's some big bucks.  THIS IS A SCAM !!!

Ok everybody, calm down. I'm here now.
The IRS will not call you without stating who they are. They have the full weight of possible Garnishments & Property Seizure, should you not respond to their attempts to mitigate your Tax Burden. What would be the logic behind disguising themselves?
Dawn Archuleta has been Trolling folks for years; Apparently with some success, based on the fact that folks are still posting about her.
This is a simple Phishing Scam, with a caveat of potentially gaining your SSN, which can be later sold/used for Nefarious deeds.
Take if from a Network Engineer, be aware of the craftiness of Cyber Predators.
