- Identafone UserTelefund calls constantly from a variety of phone numbers including this one. One call and then my computer is set up to block their f*****g computer every time it calls there after. They are a commercial fundraiser. The California Attorney General just released a report on these businesses for 2008. You can check it out on the AG website. You'll see all of the charities they solicited for in California. And the percentage of money they collect that actually goes to the charities is also listed and is generally very very low. You're supporting their business, not really the charities. It's too bad. I won't give money to any charity who uses these companies, because it should be illegal to subject us to this computer-generated telephone spam, and the charities get so little of your money solicited from these calls. Outreach Associates is another one that calls a lot, plus many others. Screw them all. Don't give them money - contribute directly to charities of your choice!

- quitdo not want to receive calls from this number
- leglmomThese fools call me all the time, and hang up when message machine comes on.

- Aldebaran| 1 replyThis number has called me many times (yesterday 4 times) never leaving a message or simply hanging up. On my called ID it shows the name of "Telefund". The same name also calls from the following number: (212) 777-3456, as well as: (617) 482-6882. This type of behavior is tantamount to Harrassment.
It has got to stop at some point- Caller: Telefund
- MThey called earlier this week. No message.
- LeglmomThese folks must be fundraisers for someone, but they don't ever leave a message, and it's very annoying. I will not pick up because I don't need any more pleas for money.
- Caller: Telefund Inc.
- zoozooThey've (303-894-0456) been calling a lot lately. Annoying. I don't answer. I'm on the new cell phone "no call" list, too.
- renelI get several calls a day from this service
- BrandonI called them back, and they were very direct and politely explained they they do call on behalf of non-profits. The person I spoke to sounded like a real human being, and was happy to take my name off the list. There is no problem here, and as far as I'm concerned this number is a non-issue.

- Brandon replies to AldebaranJust pick up the phone, or call them back and politely ask them to stop. It will take you 10 seconds. It's your responsibility to let non-profits know you don't want them to call back, as they are exempt from the national Do Not Call list.
- laurenI want 303-894-0456 to STOP calling me.

- KB2These people call nearly every day, until late at night, but never leave a message. My caller ID says Telefund Inc. It's extremely annoying to constantly have the phone ring, especially when doing things that require quiet time.

- WilliamIt appears this is the telefund number in Denver, CO and they are fundraisers for a number of liberal causes including the DNC. The problem with giving through a phone solicitor is almost universally the telephone solicitor takes about 80 percent or more (usually more) of the money you "donate."
Subsequently, that organization then gets your name and usually follows-up with their own fundraising requests. Nothing illegal about this but most of your money probably goes to Telefund and not the cause. So, as a general matter you should never give money via telephone solicitation to an organization charitable, political or otherwise because your money doesn't actually get to the cause, it goes to the fundraiser, in this case Telefund.
Support the charities and causes you believe in, but make sure they get the money. I recommend going to the American Institute of Philanthropy AIP website for more information on giving. They are the only really good charity and political fundraising group in the country. That's because they do real analysis, not fake analysis like the Better Business Bureau of the other internet group that just posts their tax filing. Tax filings don't tell you squat about what's really going on. AIP knows and gives good charity and other fundraising advice to donors.- Caller: Telefund

- My Ears are Ringing replies to DWhat's all the fuss about? They represent non-profit and political organizations and are therefore exempt from the DNC registry. Just pick up the phone and tell them, to f#%< 0ff! Works for me!
- MadMan replies to DAccording to Section 227(a)(1) of the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act, it is illegal to call a cell phone using an autodialer...other than for emergency purposes or after expressed consent. The caller is subject to a $5,000 fine per accidental instance and $15,000 per non-accidental instance. Answer your phone and let them know that you will not accept their calls. Ask for an employee number and then ask to speak to the floor supervisor
- KrisThe number is for TeleFund. They solicit donations for charities and political organizations. Both are exempt from OptOut. From the Do Not Call web site: "Even if your number is registered, charities, political organizations, and telephone surveyors may continue to call you."
There's nothing you can do legally, if they just call and ask for donations. If they get nasty, or insist on continuing to call after you've asked repeatedly that they NOT, then you MAY have recourse.
TeleFund collects donations for MANY organizations, including the CRAZY ENOUGH TO WANT TO STAY FREE right, as well as the WHACKO NUTJOB SOCIALIST SHEEPLE left.
If you have caller ID, HEY, JUST DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!- Caller: TeleFund

- LyndaAnother paid fund raiser. Every night, night after night. Thank goodness I can block their call. Why can't these annoying calls be part of the DNC? People are struggling right now to put food on the table and these clowns call everynight trying to separate you from what money you have left. I give plenty to charity & want to be left alone from these continual calls. UGH!!!!!!!

- FredI just got my third call from TeleFund, and I asked the woman calling who she was calling for. She said Democracy for America, at which I told her that because of the several calls I had received I would no longer be donating to that organization, and if I got further calls that would solidify my decision. She apologized, and said she would take my name/number off their list. Apparently, demanding the name of the organization being called for and then threatening a cutoff of support gets attention. I'll see if and how this response works.
