Receive a call from this place 8-10 times a day. When I answer, i just get hung up on. I just spoke with a rep and they insisted that my number will be removed from the calling list within 72 hours...Damn it is annoying.

They call me at least 10 times a day, it's absolutely ridiculous!
As far as I'm concerned, their credibility has to be questioned when they are calling that many times in one day. I have never known a professional college/school to act in this manner.
    It's a complete turn off.
I don't believe "harrassment" is considered one doing it's job!

There is not question about their credibility, the schools credibility is good. But as for your credibility, it sucks. If you put your number on a web form or even that call in an give your number out, common sense is to answer the phone. This is ridiculous how people complain about the calls, but don't pick up the phone to talk to them. What do you expect, to get enrolled by magic!!!! LOL!!! Even that, hmmmm, you put your number out there, expect to get called till you pick up the dang phone. The reps don't know if you don't want the information anymore til you tell them. Grow up and be an adult and pick up the phone. Stop complaining!

P.S. They usually have more than 1 campus, so if you fill out the form on the website to get information, your info is normally distributed amongst the nearest campuses to you. This is to ensure that you are getting all the information that you requested because each campus may have different programs!!!! So, uh, if you have caller id, look at the numbers that are calling you, they may be different. So you tell one campus to stop calling, it doesn't distribute to the other campuses to stop calling you.

I understand what you are writing to be partly true, until you have told a caller time and time again to stop calling and they dont listen then you rally can not comment. It sounds to me like you work in a call centre and that is why you are defending them to the hilt. I think there was no need to tell some one to grow up, that is very rude!!
People are sick of Everest and are trying to stop their calls, if you can not help the situation, then do not comment. thanks!!

Within ONE MINUTE after I submitted a request for information I received a phone call from this number.  I wish I would have known it was going to be like this before I requested any information.

This is Everest College Online.  They (the online sector) begin calling when you request information about attending their college; if you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the form that you have completed online, it states that by completing and submitting said form, you have given them permission to contact you by email, telephone and postal mail.  You also get contacted by the local Everest College representatives.

They call at a minimum 10 times a day, do not leave messages and the telephone number does not have a caller ID.  I don't know about you, but I do not answer calls from unidentified callers; that is why I have a voice mail box.

I finally decided to call back this number.  I did get to speak to a human being.  In a very civil manner, I told them I had already been contacted by one of their local representatives so could they please discontinue calling my telephone 10+ times a day.  They in turn, were very civil and helpful and placed me on their "Do not call" list so I will no longer receive a barrage of phone calls throughout my day.

I think you should understand that people are doing their jobs. If you want to us to help the situation, then do your job and pick up the phone. It sickens me how people like to complain...complain...and complain more but don't do much to fix the problem. I think the other person who was writing that information may or may not have been working in a call center. Either way, if that person was employed for a call center, they are probably sick of calling people who don't pick up their phone. But yet, they have to keep calling those numbers in order to keep their jobs. (I don't know if you work or not, but it is hard to get jobs these days) Just give some respect and let the caller know that you don't want the information anymore.

Really, if people are sick of Everest calling, then they should tell them and not complain on this board. I saw on one of those posts by that person, that Everest has people calling from more than one campus. So probably, just keep telling them not to call because the last person that was probably told to stop was from a different campus. (Just a little FYI)

Oh yea, I have also received several calls from Everest college, but I told them to stop calling...and wow...it stopped! In the midst of telling them to stop, they did explain to me the calls were coming from different campuses because the program I wanted was available at more than one campus that was near to me. When I looked back at my caller ID, the numbers were different, but all said Everest College!

It not harrasment, you requested the informaiton. I am sure they have an automatic dialer, which would mean a delay in the representative talking. Under the calling laws that the government passed a few years ago, they can't legally leave a message. It isn't that hard to call the number back and politley ask to have the number removed.

Did you expect them to wait six months before contacting you? When you submitted the request for information did you really think that they would just sit and wait a while to contact you? REALLY? For crying out loud, if you go to McDonald's and order food, do you expect them to wait x amount of time before they serve you? The other thing I would like to point out, a little thing called technology. When ever you put your information on the internet, it is instantly (I repeat) INSTANTLY sent to whom ever requested the number. So if you are really complaining that they contacted you so quickly, you really don't have a leg to stand on.

Communication with these companies will get your issues resolved, but when they are hung up on, or don't get the chance to verify the information, they have to keep calling. Its a fact of life, if you have a phone guess what......... your going to get phone calls. That is the way the world works. Sorry!

If the "people" are "sick of Everest" then they can be adults and request to be put on the DNC list. Its not a hard request, and legally each company has to comply. Look it up if you don't believe me. What most people don't understand is that when they submit anything online with their phone number there is always a disclaimer that states they are agreeing to be contacted by phone. I see the problem as people don't read completely what they are filling out. So end result is they think they are being harrased, but in reality they agreed to those terms.

I understand the frustration I have been on both ends of those phone calls. Yes I did work in a call center for a minute. I am not defending them in any way, but am pointing out that in order to be effective all it takes is a little communication, and a little patience.
