They called for me at a place I have not been in two years. They even went so far as to tell the person who answered that they had spoken with me a couple of weeks ago, which is a 100% Lie. Filed a complaint with the State AG's Office where I live, and with the State of IL, along with the FCC.

yeah. i have recently received a phone call at work here in arizona from them saying it is important for me to call them back as soon as i get the message but they dont tell me who they are or wat company they work for. i havent been in illinois in almost 3 years so i dont even know what to think.

Have called several times to my number looking for a Nathanial Wingate (nobody loan him money!!!) that is supposed to live around Knoxville, TN.
I believe they are a bunch of idiots that have tried to call my number for the last 3 years (as it was a US Cellular reissued ph#) and don't have enough sense to make reference that I'm not him!  Advise them that the FCC allows to advise them if you are not removed from their calling list & repeat calls persist, it is harassment and they can be fined $500 per call

A lady called my cell phone asking for kyle. Remember, this is my cell phone. The they ask for Kyle (last name) and I'm like oh, that's my roommate. (He would never give out my phone number. They asked me to give him this phone number....309-272-4500 x504 her name is Tammy Brown.

HOW DID THEY GET MY CELL NUMBER?!?!?!

Just received a call that I owe them money for a medical bill. Told her we did not have the money, we would be getting evicted soon and have no money to keep living expenses current. She told me what my husband did for a living and that he had a job. I again told her I didn't have a job and my husband did work but there is NO money to pay anything in addition in trying to keep a roof over our head. She said that it sounds like we are living above our means at which point I hung up on the lunatic before I cussed her out. We can't afford my monthly prescriptions or anything else "above our means".

Eric Murphy called me and left a message to call him back at 1-800-234-8880 and the call came from 309-272-4500

Same Eric Murphy, Just tell them its the wrong number.

"Eric Murphy" has been calling and terrorizing my 83 year old mother with a weak heart,
telling her that I her son am being prosecuted for having payday loans deposited into
my accounts (checking) and not repaying them.  This is bullcrap.
(1) I have never received, nor even submitted a final application for, a Payday loan.
    They have interest rates between 400% and 900% and I would NEVER accept
     such a wickedly-usurious "loan" from ANYONE.
(2)  Even if I HAD done so, it is ILLEGAL under federal law for "Eric Murphy" (Indian accent, Irish name) to say ANYTIHING to my MOTHER or any other family member or friend about me owing ANYONE anything.  "Eric Murphy" is committing federal offenses.
Also, he left an (813) area code and ordered me, thru her, to call him back.  I called the number out of curiousity.  Guess what? You get a message, saying, "THE MAGIC JACK number you have called is not yet assignbed to anyone."  A MAGIC JACK number.  NO  real lawyer or real debt collection agency would be using a MAGIC JACK.  And the # isn't even assigned to anybody yet anyway.  
(3)  "Eric Murphy," whoever you really are,  you nearly killed my helpless mother today.   If you are reading this,, you should know that I am in repeated contact with the Federal Government, with my credit bureaus, with Life Lock and other Fraud Protection services, and you, you [***], are being very carefully looked into at the highest levels of authority.    You had BETTER find yourself another career, and FAST, pal.  
"Eric Murphy" and his cohorts also sometimes use the fake names of LEO FERNANDEZ.
(4)  It is a FEDERAL OFFENSE for ANY LAWYER to threaten you with arrest or prosecution over a debt owed, whether real or imagined.  "Eric Murphy" told my helpless elderly mother that they would be at her house with a subpoena for me THIS AFTERNOON.
(5) "Eric Murphy," "Leo Fernandez" and the rest, are not real lawyers nor are they real debt collectors.  They are criminals, extortionists, cowardly SUBHUMAN SH*T who terrorize elderly women.
(6)  I have spoken with the Federal Trade Commission about this matter several times.  They have assured me that this is absolute BULL, that these guys are fraudsters, scam artists, criminals.  The worst sort of criminals:  terrorizing old women. Scum of the earth.  Offspring of maggots.
When I told them, when they called me at a private number at work that noone has, quoting my social security number to me (!!  Thank GOD for LIFE LOCK and other such companies !! ),  I told them I was going to hang up and immediately contact INTERPOL and have the call traced.  THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED ME AT WORK AGAIN, but they are daily terrorizing my elderly mother.  Dirty Pigs.

They do medical collections so your roomate probably listed you cell number as a emergency contact #

Maybe if you actually called them back and told them you didnt know the person they were trying to reach they would stop calling you..... Hmmmm make sense I doubt they like wasting the time calling a wrong number..

It is their job to locate people that dont pay their medical bills....

I really cant believe all the stupid post on here.....  Ok you lived in Il 3 years ago did you pay all your medical bills from then or could you owe medical bills from a different state?  Why dont you do the smart thing and pull a credit bureau report?  Man it dont take much brain to figure that out... If you owe a bill more then likely its on your CBR!

You are lying. I know this Eric Murphy you speak of and he is nothing close to having an indian accent nor does he have the demeanor of terrorizing your mother. He would not give the details of your loans to your mother either, quit making up stories

They called me from a 217-245-5600 number, Chris Adams, she threatened me and I called AG's ofc and they advised me on what to do.  They are relentless and harrasing.  I set up checks to pay this debt that I don't even know if I have because she terrorized me and the AG's ofc said to stop payment on checks, which I did immediately and now Im writing a certified letter, and they have to stop calling.  They are gonna be pissed I stopped those checks, there goes Chris Adams' commission
