My son has just now got his second call from these people claiming to be a lawyer. Stating he took out a loan which he didn't. But, was terrified he was going to be arrested this what they told him. Until he punched this number into the computer he had know idea what was going on. He said he was going to report it to the police. This company was out of Calif. suppposely

Just received this call on my cellphone and at work, He said that I needed to call Kevin Johnson to find out what the legal matter was about. I called back and the mailbox is full. This is horrible. I will contact my local police

I was told that I someone was going to take legal action against my social security number. He gave me the last 4 digits. He said that I needed to call Kevin Johnson to find out what it was about and the he is surprised that no one had contacted me about it. I called the number back and the mailbox is full.

First this guy called my home phone and told my husband he was calling from the Federal Law Firm. Got a message one my cell phone from this number saying it is Mr. Foster (heavy accent).  His message said something bad was going to happen to me and my family.  I called dozens of times, mostly full mailbox, or it would immediate disconnect my call.  One time a woman did answer and I asked what kind of business it is, she said it was "an office."  When I asked what kind of office, she hung up on me.  Have never been able to get through again.

These dumbf#$ks with a thick Indian accent called me at 8:30am today (NY time) stating that I had a case against me and needed to call back.  I hung up and they called me again after which we had some heated argument with me throwing a few profanities in...Can you imagine a better way to ruin a person's day by calling him at 8:30 in the morning with bad news??  I asked them to mail me any sort of case they had against me and serve me with the summons since I know how the system works and will not disclose anything over the phone.  They had nothing to say and said they would do that by sending a Sheriff to come arrest me.  HAHAH  I thought to myself, "Sheriff"??  These fools in India have no idea about American justice...They've based their judgement out of spaghetti Westerns it seems.  "Sheriff"?  HAHA

Anyway, I hung up and asked them never to call me instead just mail me any details and I would do the necessary.  After a few minutes, I googled their # up and this scam board showed up.  Glad to know my hunch was correct!  Thanks

PS: Please refrain from using loan companies online going forward.  They sell your information to every firm that can pay a dollar or two for the rights to your info (your SS, bank account, address and phone...Some even ask for your mother's maiden name).  Next thing you know, someone will be taking a loan or a line of credit out of your name soon.  Be careful and tread lightly with care!

A person from this number 310-961-5803 called my cell at 7 am and threatened me about a claim they have against me. Obviously there is no such thing and this is the third time this has happened with three different numbers. How do we get this to stop?

got a call last monday from an indian man stating his name was michael clark (yeah right)!!  said he worked for the law offices of johnny best.  he told me that i had some criminal charges against me and that i need to get a pen and paper and write down something.  i asked what criminal charges are there?  he said that he could not tell me - huh????  I told him that if he is working for Mr. Best then have HIM call and talk to me about this - i couldnt understand a thing he was saying (his english was BAD).  I just hung up on him.  The called back and left a message on my machine threatening me by saying that if i didn't return his call immediately "something bad was going to happen to me" - and that they will come to my place of employment and arrest me.  the thing that has me concerned is that he had my full social security number which he left on my message.  have had several calls from other numbers all week - some say they are from usacashnet...all indian accents.  the first guy that called me on this number called the next day from a different area code and number with a different collection story.  i knew it was him because he mispronounced my name the same both times he called.  i told him to stop harassing me and that i have already reported it to the credit bureau, FTC, and police - he just said F-you and hangs up.  i wasnt going to let that go so i called him back and he obviously didn't have caller ID...he answered "Hello".  I told him that it was me again and that i didnt appreciate him hanging up on me....he cussed again and hung up.  i phoned him 3 more times consecutively and asked him how he liked being harassed!!!  the thing that really irritated me was that at the end of his threatening conversation he left on my voicemail he said "God Bless".....are you kidding me???

I was scammed also but they somehow got my bank account number social etc and have taken $30 some dollars out of my bank account!  Then said all the same things and I went immediately to the bank closed out my account and then to the police!  The first thing the police said I hope these calla are not coming from CA!! Well that's where they show they are coming from!  They even called me and 911 came up as there number!!! So be aware!!!

Same message as everyone else...same thick accent..told me I needed to call this number about a case I kept saying there is no case and he would just pause and say UHHHHHHHH. I told him anything they had for me had to be mailed to me. He kept insisting I write a number down and call to talk to Kevin Johnson...the number he gave me to call was the same one he called me from.

got the same call for several days and i realized once he said "i dont know what your lawsuit is about" that he was indeed not a lawyer!!!

My boyfriend received several calls from these idiot foreigners -same message, same names used, and all i can say is that these idiots must really think us Americans don't know our rights!  I commend all of you who have taken the time to warn all of us and to try and put a stop to these F$#@#$^  foreigners -  We as Americans must stick together and watch out for one another...

I was bothered by this guy a year ago while living in California. Now he calls me a year later AT WORK and with the same bogus english name speaking with a very fake hindi accent.

He opens the conversation by asking my actual name, gives the usual legal threats as mentioned by the rest of the complaints here and demands my SSN.

I tell him there is no way he would call from a law office and ask for my SSN because I have worked in a law office for many years and he is full of it and hang up on him. He proceeds to call me back 3 more times in rapid succession and there is a very gleeful tone in his voice while he is talking to me each of the remaining 3 times. I will be sharing this with the police.
