They called for my daughter, who is away in college.  When I asked what they were calling in reference to, they refused to give me any info, and were very rude.  They said they needed for my daughter to call them, and proceeded to hang up!  I notified her of this, she looked up the number (as I have), and told me to hang up next time they call, cause this is a scam!!

They called asking to speak to my daughter, who is away at college.  When I asked what the call was regarding, they were very rude and said they couldn't discuss it with me.  They would need my daughter to call them back.  They were very unproffesional, and rude!!  If they were an actual law firm, that is not a good way to conduct business.  When I informed my daughter, she said she's heard about this "scam" and to hang up next time they call.

I have an unusual last name, so I get calls about people with the same last name.
The computerized voice mail said to call Mr. Scott - it was a very important matter.
The message also said they had called several times.  NOT.

Just recieved a phone call that went straight to  voice message.also, same as the others on here have said. It said to call Mr. Hoover back at (312) 604-7194.

Received a call saying I need to call Mr Scott about an important matter. Never called back.

I just received a call,  which went to voice mail.  It stated to call The Law Offices of Arnold Scott Harris @ 312-604-7187,  they are debt collectors.   Really?  Good luck getting me to call back!   To me Law Office and Debt Collector just don't seem to go together.

Keep receiving a recorded message saying they are debt collectors from Arnold  Harris. They leave a message to call back this number 312-604-7187. However when you call back the number you on  hold for 20 minutes. I wanted to speak to someone over there to find out actually who they want to speak to. I do not have any debts to be collected, so I can't imagine why they keep calling this home phone number....

Arnold Scott Harris, PC is also the State of Kansas go-to collector for income taxes, Jon.

They claimed  they were with a law office   And that we owe taxes to Kansas and that our letters though we didn't receive them they confirmed our address and ask us to pay the delinquent balance    Otherwise we would be in legal trouble.  I explained I worry about scams and I wasn't sure about paying since I needed to verify woman said go ahead verify  With KS  and you will still contact me to pay me .  It was all very strange as this woman claims she sent letters regarding a collection of our taxes if so why is this agency in Chicago Illinois when the taxes are from Kansas if that is even true ?

I'm in Kansas and they said they worked for KS Department of Revinue

called my phone looking for someone else saying they were from the Kansas department of revenue. total scam.

Says call Mr. Scott about important matter.  This message left after many calls with no message.

Collecting taxes

I got a threatening call from this number on my taxes for 2015-2016.  Back a year ago we made a payment that they were unable to verify.  I am concerned about this call.

I've been receiving live messages from a Miss Rodriguez requesting that I call the law offices of ...Scott Harris. She doesn't give a reason. This is bogus! I've blocked the phone number now.

Received a call from this number also and left a message regarding owing tax  money.  Wanted to the phone number before I called.  Says they are a Law Firm of Scott Harris

So why does Illinois still have junk debt collectors calling people? They have sued the criminals a few years ago and won. Call came at 10am. Checked the number here, so how can they be scamming people for 10 years? Beware and don't bother answering! I have a reissued number. They are in violation of Illinois law, even if spoofing.

Me too! I was in Chicago this past summer, and New York. The only toll I didn’t pay was on the George Washington bridge. I’m not paying Illinois a dime. Lol
