Same here... calls even after I have declined. This needs to be investigated as the CDC, if they are involved is in violation of Research Ethics and Informed Consent protocols!

this number has been calling me for over a month now numerous time i answered once and told them i am not interested in their survey and hung up...i have a feature on my phone that allows me to block numbers but this one doesnt get blocked and it the same number everytime...how can i get them to stop??

whenever i block the number it is still able to call me..ive blocked other ppl before...did blocking work for you?

Number has called me a number of times in the last week on my cellphone, initially leaving no message.  Today they left a voicemail message claiming to be the CDC.  My cellphone is on the national do not call registry, so I just filed a complaint today on the do not call registry website, reporting this number.

Calling cell phone. So far 10/1/2010 5:29 PM, 10/3/2010 2:08 PM, 10/4/2010 8:43 PM. Put number on do not answer, so phone does not ring, but records when they do call.

Thanks for posting that.  These guys have been utterly relentless in hitting my mobile number for the past month, sometimes even blocking their number (Caller Unknown) so I might pick it up.  Like everyone else here on this site I didn't believe it was really a CDC authorized call -- particularly when I declined to answer and the calls continued.  I'm usually not naive about my government and tax dollars, but amazingly enough this surprised me.  Thanks again for the legwork...now to write to my representatives who authorized this...

I have received 3 calls from this number . They won't leave message

This number called me and I told them not to call and that I didn't want to do their survey, they never called back.

I bought a cell phone for emergencies only last month.  I have gotten 5 calls from this number so far.  I have not set up voice mail because I do not want to have anyone leaving messages that I would have to pay for.  This would really make me mad if they were leaving messages on my prepaid cell phone.  Thank you to all the above messages about who is calling.

Annoying, annoying, annoying!!!! Will they ever give up?! It seems as though the "Do Not Call" list "Does Not Matter".

I have received 7 calls from this number in less than a week 1-2 calls a day. they left 1 message stating they are doing a survey on families with teenaged kids, who said I even have kids?????

We have no one to call ... sadly.

I 2 have gotten 2 calls from this number the first time my bf awnsered because I dont like awnsering calls for numbers I dont know. Suposedly my cell phone number was picked to be part of a cell phone survey(which is a bunch of crap) he said he wont awnser anyquestions and that this number was on the DO NOT CALL list then he hung up.. that number called me a second time this week just a  little bit ago but since I didnt know the number I didnt awnser...

I really doubt they are because why would they tell me that my cell number was picked for a cell phone survey hmmmmmmm?????

oh and I forgot to add that they never said who they were or who they were working for they just went to say that my number was picked for a cell phone survey.... I just reported both calls to the do not call thing and I will more if they keep calling...

This is clearly not from the CDC. The CDC does NOT do this sort of thing. It is a violation of the law.

i wish i would have searched this number earlier. I really wish it wasn't happening to all of you, but i am glad i'm not the only one ignoring them. i answered the first or second time they called back in september and told them i was not interested in participating. since then, i have recieved calls EVERY day- sometimes twice. luckily, they call during school hours and my phone is usually on silent but i really can't handle it anymore.

I also have been getting calls from this number...I will not answer because it is an unknown number to me.   I am going to report this number also.  Never answer calls from numbers you do not know.  If it is truely someone who wants to talk to you, they will leave a message and you can call them back.  Who the hell gets unknown calls from chicago????
