    It's a scam. I tricked them to giving me a legit call back number. 1 (347) 571-9134

This caller JUST called me (on my cell phone).  Silence at first, then a "call center" type background where a male caller with a thick middle eastern accent said hello, I'm calling from the technical department at windows...  I terminated the call.
I struggled not to tell him that he should be ashamed of himself, but I figured it wouldn't get any traction anyway.  People really need to raise their kids better than this!
    • Caller: Supposedly Windows/Microsoft

As previous commenter stated, caller says they are from Microsoft and are reporting that my pc has been hacked.  I hung up on them.  My 89 year old mother was hacked this way last week. They "sold" her a service contract, hacked her computer and made her life hell

Windows scam apparently from the postings.  Yes, we hate these horrible crooks.  However, please consider using common sense:  You answer and talk to them or scream back at them, then you set yourself up for more and calls.  Plus, since you are a "live" number -- they sell your phone number to other crooks and make even more money.  Sometimes someone checks the phone number out in depth -- well, surprise!  The phone numbers are usually stolen from someone's legal phone number.  Report to FCC every call, every time -- it is the only way they can close in on these crooks.  And no, the DNC list is not a failure -- legitimate businesses abide by it, crooks do not.  Why would they follow a law?  Remember:  common sense.  And please, let the elderly and impaired know not to answer the phone.  If it hangs up, problem solved.  If they leave a message and say call back and you do not know who they are, do not pick up and delete the message.  YOU interact then YOU become part of the problem -- YOU give them more money.  Privacy is gone, remember, even though the guys in DC think it is still there.

Same old problem as everyone else has with this number. Thankfully I finally got caller ID so I don't answer.  I'm very sick of these scammers interrupting my life.

Got the same call. I answered it and told them i was not interested in being scamed. He tried to reassure me he was not scamming anyone. As soon as i asked to speak to someone who spoke english he hung up on me.

Another call hang up from the crooks at 1108 am; last one was end of May.  It is disappointing to read the "smart" men's comments on how they interact with these people. I would think computer specialists would know that they are only providing more information and money to the crooks.  Yes, indeed, common sense has sure left the building.  So sad.  They will not stop their game until the money dries up.  You feed them money = they continue.  Oh geez!  Common sense!  Please do not interact.  Report every call to FCC so they can maybe catch the ring before they change the phone number to another one.  The smartest crooks do that every few months.  Protect the elderly and impaired from being ripped off by these horrible things that have two legs supposedly.

Caller told me that my PC needed servicing. I told the caller (who sounded like he was calling from India or a place with a similar accent) that I don't own a PC and not to call again. Two days later got another call from the same number. When I answered with a very cold "Yes?" the caller disconnected without a word.

They call morning and night. All day. I answered for the first time after many calls. Claim they are from Microsoft and I have a problem with my computer. Told them to never call again and lose my number.

Called saying it was a courtesy call from some unintelligible company for MS Windows.  We have an unlisted number, but they had my first and last name.  I ended up blocking them, as the story keeps changing.  I told them I didn't have Windows as I only have Apple products.

It called me twice today. I did not answer because I don't know the number. They left no message. When I got home from work I looked it up on google and I see what you all say. So the number goes into my rejected list thanks!

I noticed several calls on my caller ID from this number. I was home tonight and answered. A nice gentleman with an Indian accent told me he was calling from the windows technical support department. When I told him I was on the "do not call" list and to remove me from his call list, he told me to F@&k Off and hung up.
    • Caller: Windows Technical Support Dept.

Called claiming to work for Windows IT - unfortunately for them I work at Microsoft and know better, especially when the number is from New York. Don't bother with this person - it's a scam.
