Is this number the inmate calling or the jail calling?

I have been receiving calls from this number several times a day for the past several days.
It's a collect call, but my cell does not accept those calls.

I did find out that they are in Roane Co, Tennessee

It is an inmate trying to place a call and you have to set up an account..which is too expensive and just plain highway robbery...my son is in an OK jail and this is how they can call you..sad, they can rip people off like this..should be against the law. just saying

Got a call yesterday, its a jail. i asked them to block my number.. she said I didnt have to pay anything, and set up a password in case someone I knew ever went, and I wanted to call them.. id have to give password to unblock my number.

Hi I've bn gettin this call frm a 318 7461114 and it's Been a few days already I do knw a few people in prison in Louisiana but there in pollock can u help me figure out who it is I'm cerious cuz I don't knw if it's the person I knw or not

This company claims they own the phones in the jail in Roane, Tenn., and you have to set-up an account to receive calls from
inmates as the inmates are not allowed to make "collect" calls from the phones. Very expensive and should not be allowed by law. What a sweet deal for them. Is anyone in Roane, Tenn. aware of this ? Wonder who came up with this rip-off ?

Same deal for me. Problem is, when I do answer it, there is just a recording saying the account has no money in it. The message offers no directions on how to put money in an account or who the call might be from.

This is a inmate wanting to call.  I told them I would NOT give them money and to quit calling me.  they keep calling and calling.  harassing in my opinion.

The company people are hateful and tell u can get two 15 minute calls for 25.00 but when u pay that u get one and 3 minutes and then have too add more money they are ripping u off big time where he was before I could talk all week for that kind of money this company is crazy for this kind of money they charge

Don't know why you are getting the calls but you are probably going to gets lots and lots more from all sorts of people.  Do you know why?  Because you are stupid enough to put your name and address on an open forum!
