got a message asking me to verify my instagram account.  Said to type back in a 6 digit code to verify.  I think this is a scam...anyone else get this from this #?

I got the same today, except my phone number isn't linked to IG. I checked on IG and there is no account linked to my cell. So this is very odd indeed

got a txt today with a skjetchy looking link asking me to install fb messenger from this #

Got one from this # with a 6 digit login code for Tinder.

Received text from this number with code to verify Instagram account.

Need to know who its from

iPhone user here. Got a message this morning from the same number with a verification code for Tinder with "Account Kit by Facebook" written in parentheses. There's no other link except the 6 digit code. I'm married and have never had a Tinder account in my life, so this is really confusing.

Me too. Exactly the same! Do not and will never have Tinder and no longer have Facebook either.

Got this message telling me about a Facebook confirmation code for Angel's code, and an anonymous one soon after

Number sent me a code to verify FB account. Also got texts from Google voice numbers that started with 32099, as if trying to look like it's from 32099 telling giving me a FB confirmation code.

I got a text last night from 32099 with some sort of activation code for a Tinder account.. I don't have Tinder. It said is was a verify thru Facebook Kit...  unfortunately I responded back tersely... and a few minutes later my response in text came up as if I had posted it to my Facebook!!!!!! Beware.. its not just a scammer its a hacker!! I had to remove my cellnumber from my Facebook and my business cake page, and also change my passwords, uninstall and then reinstall facebook for my android and encrypt my phone because I am scared that someone pirated by cell number and facebook account. I also reported this to facebook security as well.

Not only did I receive the same 32099 text everyone else is describing (mine was from "isiah"), I also received texts from the FB sms number 32655 and had my number stollen from my account and added to another.

A guy asked for my number, and I recieved this text right after. Facebook's short code is 32665. Entering that number in a Google search will give you the Facebook help page as the first entry. The page has a chart with all of Facebook's short codes. 32099 is not one. It is a hacker. The guy then asked me to tell him the code so that he could set up his page, which also didn't make sense in context of the text. Bottom line is be careful whom to give your number to and Google every unknown number.

I replied and the reply posted on my FaceBook wall which was super weird.
