They identify themselves as Scientology something or other, and ask questions to try to get you to tell them your address, such as where you lived previously or if you lived in this city or that city.  She keeps insisting I took out a book from their library.

Scientology frequently calls the numbers of people who used to be Scientologists. So your phone number maybe that of an old Scientologist.

The Church or Scientology is very persistent and will even continue sending mail to an address of a former Scientologist  after they have moved or died.

I got a call from this number today and did not pick up. My family used to be Scientologist and they harass us, visit our house, call several times a day and send us tons of mail.

yeah, just like anyone else you dont want to have call you, just tell them to take your number our of their calling lists, or data base, etc. Don't get stupid.

This comment is for "no name" above.  I have had the same problem with this group. Stupid is as stupid does, and telling these psycho's ANYTHING is like talking to a dead L. Ron Hubbard. I've told them they are calling a wrong number, had them verify an address that went to my phone number (which was incorrect)asked them to remove this number from their calling lists, etc.,  not once but closer to forty times.  Of course it's always a different person or number that calls and of course none of them has EVER gotten the message from the previous person that called. If you think people should have to tell all 10,000 scientology freaks that the person they are stalking has already ditched them and gotten a new phone number then you are the one with the big fat case of stupid. Obviously you are one of the freaks yourself. I say get your butt to NASA and blast off for that distant planet that you claim you descended from.

Yea, they been calling me for 3 months now. I had some minor activity with Scientology back in 1973. Believe it or not, after 35 years they have tracked me down and now bug me a couple of times per day and send mail. I am on the Do Not Call Registry and have complained two times so far to them. Also, any mail gets returned to sender. I hope they have to pay the postage. I can't believe that they keep bugging me. I have told them at least 4 times that I want nothing to do with them and never will.

your are funny and correct.  they don't listen and continue to call whether you pickup the phone or not.  It is completely [***].  I too have told them not to call but that goes NO WHERE.  They don't get it I trust that maybe by filing a complaint with your Governors would do it.

I got a call from a nice lady who wanted to verify my contact information for the Church of Scientology.

we are living in Hungary..we have got a call from this number serial times (sorry for my english) we don't pick up..is it possible, that the church call our number??

I live in Colorado and I took 1 class at the local Scientology church and I still can NOT get them to stop calling me.(their phone number is 303-789-7668 feel free to start calling them 4-5 times a week and see how they feel). Today they somehow tracked my brother down by phone (who never went) trying to find me.  Everytime they call I say take me off your list and I send everything back saying wrong address.  Who can we report them to?  This just can't be legal.  I called them today and said you are stalking me and she said well somehow we must of just had a miscommunication on removing you from our list.  And I said that may seem plausible if it had only been a year but its been 10 years....and it's very clear this is how you do business.

This site is not only for complaints this is to find out what number called you. I was glad to be called by this number. Scientologists are very decent people. They are only there to help. It's a pity you don't look at it yourself. There is only one person that it doesn't do any good for. They are not to blame. It must be  a crime now to see if you want to help this world. By the looks of most, not all, of these comments it sure looks like it needs it. It's for current Scintologists too. So I'm glad they called, I've been really busy.

Last night, today, it goes on and on and it has been over a year.    323 580 5513 and 323 580 5520 and 323 960 3223 and 323 833 1154 and  727 467 5212.  There are also calls that come in with no user id or as "Call 1" and I used to answer them.  They said they were with scientology so I no longer answer them (some of those unidentified calls now are probably political ads - I dont know for sure that all the [***] and harassers in the world are from scientology). Also, I am on the East coast, so it means that the 323 numbers are in a time zone three hours behind, and I have the honor of 10.30 pm and even later calls.  Sunday night is the most common time.  

This is a church?

Their employees are creating enemies.  I am normally quite tolerant of other religions but from the little I know of them, forget it.

address being still on Bayview Avenue in Toronto.  

I do live in Toronto but never anywhere near Bayview.  Moreover,
I've had this telephone number for 18 years and still they're
clutching at straws.

It has to be a pretty ramshackle if they can't keep records up to date
or a pretty transparent fishing expedition; I can't figure which.

I've taken a few Scientology courses and had auditing and it's great, however the auditing is way too expensive! I get daily calls and emails asking me to buy things I can't afford at this time.  If they really wanted to help they could lower the prices to make them more affordable. I like Scientology but even I'm getting annoyed!

Get a call from this number every week or so but the caller will not leave a message. If this caller is from the Church of Scientology, why won't they leave a message? I will not answer phone calls from people or organizations that don't identify themselves. The caller ID says "Out of Area".

I took a couple of classes granted they helped I didn't want to continue I got what I needed. I moved and that was that. All of a sudden about a year later I start getting 3-4 calls a day from this number all the way till 9pm at night. I finally answered after a few months and it is Scientology. I told them I moved six hours away and won't be taking classes or attending events. I still get calls three years later. If I don't answer this number they called from another number. Eventually I added the number to my cell phone so I know not to pick up because it doesn't matter how many times you tell them you moved they keep calling to invite you to events.

My phone broke got a new one didn't have the number programmed and once again they are calling and I had to look up the number today to find out how it was!!! Three years...and they won't take me off the list like requested. A few years back I was going to find a place near me to take another class...but the stalker factor tells you something isn't right in Scientology land even if some of their books are helpful. They've been able to get my new address and continue to send me stuff including asking for donations. I've never experienced anything like it. It's a waste of paper, time and energy. I'll just keep avoiding their calls and they will was hours calling people who are dead or who will never pick up when they call.
