On October 24, 2025, I received a phone call from (337) 600-6075.
The caller claimed to represent a “private bank” and expressed interest in buying my company, which is publicly listed for sale, for approximately $50 million (saying $65 million was a stretch).
The caller then requested that I place $4–5 million into an escrow account as part of the transaction.
This appeared to be an advance-fee or business-investment scam, as legitimate buyers never require the seller to deposit escrow funds.
A lookup confirmed the number is a VOIP line registered to Onvoy, LLC in Abbeville, Louisiana.
I did not share any sensitive information or transfer money.

Absolute scam. Not a bit of that story lines up with reality. As if you are going to transfer "$4–5 million into an escrow account" based on a cold call from some outfit that won't even provide you with a name. I'm surprised they did not ask for you to go get Apple gift cards at your local Dollar General.
