I'm receiving calls from this number, no body answer when I said Hello

The number was left on my cell phone when I was away from it but no message left for me to pick up. I'm also on the no call list so no reason for a company to be calling me. I looked this number up to see who it belonged to when I came across this reporting site. I tried calling the number back and it was busy. I've been receiving calls from some sort of collection company recently trying to reach someone who had this number before me apparently and I'm wondering if this is one of that companies numbers.  It seems like I can tell them until I'm blue in the face that I'm not sandy, connie, cindy or whoever the heck it is they are looking for and they just don't get it, not even when I give them my REAL name... Naomi Rock!!! uuurrrggghhhh it does get old!

Got a call this morning from this number on my cell and after extensive research online found and calling them back they are "The Education Authority." Seems after my research they are a Telemarketer contracted by the above name to phone hunt individuals mostly on that "Do not call" list. Here is how you get your revenge. When they call - do not answer. Instead, wait tell the automated caller hangs up. Then call THEM back! Keep calling every 5-10 min. When someone answers. Hang up. If everyone does this it will flood there automated calling system and lock it up preventing them from using or making calls. It is just that simple...

They Call Me 3 Times A Day Too. I Am Sick Of At. Call Me At Work

This company is Not based out of New Iberia, LA as previously reported. It is based out of Springfield, Mo (they use a LA telephone number that their call center software routes their outbound calls onto).

I received a call from them yesterday and spoke to a rep named Miles who assured me that I would be taken off the list.

This Morning they called me again!! I called back and Miles answered the phone. He told me that it takes 24 hours for a number their "do not call list to become active. I finally was able to speak to a representative named "Brittany" who manually went in and removed my name.

I do not understand a thing, as it can allow people to make persistent phone calls for what? Should hesitate or otherwise penalizing an office block unwanted calls.
Why 'do not build phones with a form that can block unwanted calls?. This system exists in the web (Facebook) because 'do not do it in phones? very simple so that we can eliminate the break.................

They call me 3 or 4 times a day on my home phone and NEVER leave a message!! I don't bother to pick it up.  Won't waste my time returning or answering a call that can't leave a message.  I am sick and tired of the call though!

They call me 3-4 times a day. It rings 3 times and thats it. Maybe one day I'll take the call and tell them to stop but for now I don't care.

I got a call from these people this morning but, I did not answer. They didn't leave a message. I decided to research the number when I came home from work and saw all these other people that are getting the same number popping up on their caller id.

QUIT CALLING ME! if its important leave a frickin message

This number just called me and a man's voice was faintly heard in the background but no one answered me when I kept saying Hello.

Has called several mornings in a row.  I called back yesterday and they claimed they were responding to my request for information - I did not.  I asked them to put me on their no-call list and the guy rudely objected saying I needed their education information.  I persisted and he curtly said OK.  Got another call this morning so I filed a claom with the national do no call registry.  I suggest others do the same.

Actually, Mr. Avenger...your solution doesn't work. It does flood the system, but only for a moment. When the system becomes free it RE-DIALS any PRIOR numbers that IT has dialed OR that has dialed INTO it... ESPECIALLY if the call center is set up with a predictive dialer.....YOUR solution, sir, will only cause more disruption and confusion which leads to anger...if these people want to be placed on the do not call list... then they should answer the phone, BE POLITE , and request to be placed on the do not call list. ITS THAT SIMPLE.
