    New look for an old scam.

    My non-driving child was sent a picture of an official looking document from the "Harris County District Court - Traffic Division," issued April 20, 2026, requesting that I appear in court on May 7, 2026 at 201 Caroline St., in Harris County, Kentucky. This document listed a number of violations and related Kentucky statutes, threatening legal jargon, and an official looking seal next to a declaration of "Final Notice" with QR code under the seal to scan and make on online payment.

    Hmmm...

    A quick look at Google maps and I see that Kentucky has a "Harrison County." And Texas has a "Harris County District Court - Traffic Division" at 201 Caroline St. (Houston, Texas).

    Thanks for the teachable moment and giving my child has something for show-&-tell.
