Received a call from this number, and they told me that I have a case pending against me from IRS. It was bit scary as they told me that everything will be confiscated and they file the lawsuit today. The accent of the first person sounded Indian.
Sherif will be at my home in 45 min to arrest. I had about 15 min phone conversation,.Then they offered me to resolve it today through an electronic voucher.
Then I was transferred to another department. I told him that I want to verify that they are actually from IRS, asked few questions on my tax return. Then they hung up. Then I tried to check my tax status at the IRS website and found out that we have been warned about similar pervasive scams.
I left a message with IRS Inspector general regarding the incident.

Received voicemail stating they were the IRS and we have issue with our taxes and need to contact them at 1-888-855-7251 to deal with the issue. The call came from 1-347-559-0378 at 7:45 in the morning!

sounds like an IRS phone scam as per IRS website has a different 800 number

Amazing.  Today I got a call from same number 347-559-0378 at 2 pm PST.  he left a message identifying himself as Malvin Patric.  He claimed to be from Department of taxation and indicated there is complain against me indicating potential tax evasion.   He wanted me to call 888-855-7258.  He sounded very serious and did not have accent except it appeared to be scam because phone call is not government official form of communication.  I am glad I googled the number because I know for sure it is a scam.  Thanks Anura for posting the IRS link.

So obviously  a scam. The message is barely coherent. Heavy Asian accent named Frank. Call us before you get arrested, blah,blah,bl;ah. Called just for the heck of it. Woman's voice with Asian accent.  "Hi, sorry I missed your call." beep I saved the message because it's so damned entertaining.  They have studied under from the Nigerian bankers

This morning May 29, 2014 at 7:47 am I received a call from the ph number 347-559-0378 with an oriental accent telling me that there were a fraud in my name because in the last 5 years I hadn't reported complete taxes, or something like that. I  barely understood because of his accent and my difficult to understand english, for my mexican mother tongue. I asked my 19 years old son, so he could tell me what they really wanted from me, and they told him the number of my suppossed case it is NL631584, they didnt explain well to my son and then hung up. I knew it was a scam but still I was a little scared, so I look up on the internet and I found  this helpful site whocallsme.com s where there are some persons writing about receiving calls from this same number and  I am thankful to the one who gave the IRS link  where they explain about the  Pervasive Telephone Scam, and there I found the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) link where I reported this call. Thank you very much for your help.

Received this call, claiming their name is "Daniel Cruz", IRS, etc etc. However, I never gave them any information and just kept demanding that they provide me with all their information (ie. Employee ID, Department in the IRS, their contact number, etc).  The person just starts yelling and refuses to cooperate and eventually hanged up.

Just got the same call from Melvin Patrick call back to 2028641256 to avoid arrest.  Same exact speech as above with his weird accent.

this MF Call me at 5 am. They probably open at 8 am in NY and I was first on his list.
Yesterday they call and left message from different number. I guess if I own IRS so much- I will be get official mail.

Received a call from a man with a  accent calling himself ""Melvin Belchek""  stating that he was from the IRS and legal action for taxes was pending.

Received call from "Melvin Patrick" or "Melvin Belchick" on home phone. Claimed to be from "crimes investigation of IRS". Sought call back re: investigation of tax fraud. Left a call-back number of 202-864-1255. Number on call ID was 347-559-0378. Caller had accent and bad English.

Moron trying to steal peoples money. Don't answer phone numbers you don't recognize. Get a cell phone with a blocked list, (iPhone) and a landline with a blocked list (Panasonic) so they can't call you again.
