I have a feeling that the people who are posting the poorly worded and badly misspelled messages about how you should pay them in full probably work for them. Just a thought. :) I have been getting these calls, too. I may just have to call them back and give them hell. I get so tired of these scam calls. They also will call two or three times in a row if I don't answer my cell phone. Luckily, I work from home, and I am an independent contractor so the risk of them calling my work or causing those kind of problems for me isn't an issue. The guy that called me also had an eastern accent but said his name was Greg Nelson. It makes me giggle. I used to work at this restaurant that was owned by two guys from Macedonia, and they used the names Sam and Mike because their legal names were hard to pronounce for Americans. I think they thought it would make it easier for the customers to remember their names as well as the employees. That being said, it's hilarious to me that a guy with a very strong eastern accent calls and says his name is Greg. I've been a medical transcriptionist for years, and I've never heard an accent like that attached to a name like Greg. Ridiculous.

I got a phone call from this number: 347-614-1507.  They left me a voice mail saying that I need to call they back because I commited a fraud over the internet.  That they will get the police to come to my house and come pick me up.  When I call back the number that gave me on my voice mail.  They didn't state the company name when they answer the phone.  They we're telling me that I commited fraud and wouldn't tell me for what.  When I got him to give more info.  He tired to get me to tell him my SSN and bank acct number.  He said that I applied for a instant cash loans and never payed it back.  I told he that I never applied for one and I nevered recieved any money in my acct.  Then he tells me that he was a lawyer.  I asked him what is his name?  He says Daivd Jones.  I told he that was BS because he barely spoke english.  He sounded like he was over seas like a Indian.  I told he that you can't get somebody arrested if they don't pay back a loan.  Then he tells me the company name:  United Nation Legal Department.  He also said that they can take money from my SSN and back account.  I asked he was this the first time trying to contact me.  He nevered asnwer the question.  Then I asked him where is the notice in mail about the loan?  He never answer that either.  I ask him for acct. number and a phone number to contact instant cash to speak to them.  He couldn't answer that either.  He just said that the lady's name was Nancy from Instant Cash.  I said what Nancy Grace and he says yes.  Then I kinda knew that they were trying to scam me.  Then they hanged up the phone because I was pissed and yelling at him.  I called my bank to see if anything was going on with my bank account.  There was no active of that kind.  So, I googled that number and there was a list of people with the same problem.  These also called my bf's dad's house, trying to get to me.

I just received a call from a man of Indian decent (or so it appeared to be) I dont want to ASSume. He said his name was Officer Jeff (Geoff) Carter, he left this long voicemail about how I need to call back immediately (never said for what) but that God have mercy on me if I dont within 72hrs because a lot of legal actions would begin to take place against me. I NEVER fall for these types of scams although this is the first done against me of this nature....sad because one day someone will. I know that ALL my affairs are ALWAYS in order and that I have done nothing wrong. It makes me laugh but it also makes me sad to live in a world where people are this desperate for money.....da** recession!

I received calls from 347-927-7248 and 347-468-8979 from American Legal Services claiming I owe a payday loan to Cash Advance USA.  These scammers claim I received this loan in April of 2010 and never paid it back - LIE!  The scary part is they have all my personal information - SS#, Date of Birth, home address, employer name and phone number - everything.  They threatened to file a lawsuit against me if I didn't pay and have me arrested at my place of employment.  I know these are scammers and it makes me so mad that they are preying on us.  DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!  Unfortunately reporting them to law enforcement does no good - they're probably not even in this country.  Keep writing about them do that others will see and not be fooled.  And if you can help it - DON'T GET PAYDAY LOANS!
