No clue who keeps trying to call me from another country, I don't know anyone outside the USA. It always goes straight to voicemail and they never leave a message.

It is paypal working capital, or so they say. Not sure why I'd respond to a voicemail, supposedly from paypal, dialed from a number in Ireland (or spoofed) and the voice has an Indian accent.

I think this is a fake Paypal call Why would paypal be calling from Ireland and not be using a 1-800 number?

I don't know who this is because I didn't answer and they didn't leave a msg.  But they called once and I rejected the call, they called a second time and I rejected the call, then my other cell phone rang and it was the same number calling.

Me too!! It just called me as well, on February 13 2017. I did not pick up and no message was left.

It is PayPal they have been doing offers for PayPal working business capital if your PayPal account is in great standing, and they have a office in Ireland, I called the PayPal customer service and verified the number and I had to be transferred about 4 times and finally got the right person in PayPal working capital department and asked for the calls to stop and they put a note on my account, I did not call the Ireland number but instead went through my PayPal website and did a customer service call request. So I can say that it is PayPal

Just got called twice by this number 353 21 233 8978. It says CORK/KINSALE/COACHFORD.  Thanks for the info. I had no idea who it was.

I received 2 calls from this number and today a guy left a message saying he was from Paypal and his name is Colin Kenny (sp?) and he used my name in the message. However, he hung up or was disconnected in the middle of the message.

I got a call on my home phone from this number, then about 1 minute later I got a call on my cell phone with his same number. Caller ID said Cork, Ireland. I did nor answer, and I did not receive a voice mail on either call.

Why in the world is paypal calling us from an Ireland number to talk about signing up for paypal working capital. Guy sounded legit but no way im going to give any personal information over the phone. Talked to him for awhile just because i liked his accent. Anyways what a fail paypal...

To Future Readers and Posters - Be careful about calls from this number, there have been Shills for the scammer posting in this thread.

Because they don't use 1-800 numbers out of this country.

I just received such a call.... they had the Indian accent and also knew my name. I told them if I wanted a Working Capital loan, I'd call them. and hung up

We received a call this morning from the number, male with India accent. Before he could say anything other then, “I am calling from PayPal ...”, I informed him I need to verify his number with PayPal as his call was from Ireland, and that I am also notifying our state Attorney General’s Office to flag the number. I will call back after all is checked on. He seemed taken aback before hanging up on me. I contacted PayPal, they don’t recognize the phone number and instructed me to contact spoof@paypal.com for further investigation. Which I did. Our State AG office actually has this number already on their watch, having it reported several times by consumers.
