It appears that Humana, my insurance provider, sold my phone number to Signify Health for the purposes of making unsolicited telemarketing calls to try to interest me in their services (home healthcare according to their website).  I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, so they are never going to be able to reach me this way.  Based on the dozens of messages they’ve left, I would never even consider doing business with Signify Health.  Worse yet, I cannot keep them from annoying me with their calls as they use a plethora of different numbers, so it is like playing Whac-A-Mole to try and block the numbers on my phone.

Voice message left:  “Hello, my name is Sean and I'm calling from Signify Health on behalf of Humana.  I was hoping to speak with you about a valuable service that’s included in your membership.  If you would please call 800-724-9798, we are available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Central time.  We look forward to hearing from you.  Have a wonderful day.”

Since that is a local number, not a Toll Free, it is more likely the caller is an insurance agent or from an insurance broker. Your name and current carrier could have been leaked or stolen in so many ways it is useless to count. Block the number, that should get you some peace in the short term.
