- RB4UTThe do not call list...It's a joke! Nobody is monitoring that! The only people being bothered by the happy callers is US! I'm sick of hearing my phone ring!
- teethnclaws replies to carsonThey randomly cycle through what I'm guessing is a series of numbers via a computer system & hang onto the ones that seem to belong to someone OR our carriers just don't really care about us & sell them our numbers. They claim not to, but as some cell providers offer only $ fee related ways of blocking or changing numbers (20 numbers for $4.99 a month or $30+ to switch lines altogether). Whichever pain in the a** way they can bleed ya, both sides are making a profit whilst we suffer at the hands of these inconsiderate mules who call & yammer. Either way, these people don't care about the Do Not Call List because it'll take MONTHS before anything happens. When it does, they get a slap on the wrist & move along to a new number which they'll harass you from with daily. Even if you are like me & have never used your cell for anything online THEY WILL STILL call you. You don't have to sign up for a thing - these tools will call you for free. They're encouraged to pester because we're just not willing to give up our visa #'s & names otherwise :P & they know as rude as they are you can't initially stop them from ringing you again, same time next day. Don't bother selecting 1 on any of these phone scams; it just insures they'll be calling you even more because a person responded to the prompt even if it was to be removed. I believe they legally have to give you an option to be removed, but they'll turned it around to use it as a tool to confirm or guarantee they are calling actual people.
DO the usual report to the DNCL, Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications, etc..OH & the county offices where the number resides because they hate it & as such I'm guessing we all do this enough times & they'll have to pass a supplement to the DNCL legislation that'll perhaps include these types of callers. - Greg5 calls again today. Enough.

- BeckyI get calls from 360-529-6199 several times each day right up until after 8:30pm. They leave no message and if I answer they hang up. This has been report seveeral times. My next step to get this stoped will be from my attorney. There must be a law against this harassment. I have had this same number for many years and have sick family numbers so I see NO answer for me to change my number just because of this harassment. My next step will be LEGAL.

- BennieGot a call from this number saying they were from a home protection company. Also my wife had the same number call her cell phone saying they were from a credit card company. This has been going on for weeks. Who are these people? Getting very sick and tired of this harrassing phone calls.
- getsomethingdoneComplaing on this site will not accomplish much. Lodge a formal complaint with the FCC online if you are on the don not call list. It's the only way to get them shutdown. Please do it!

- BrittThis number called me today, but hung up after only like two rings (thankfully). I'm hoping I won't be like many of you and have this number call me multiple times a day... I already get probably two spam calls a week (of which I NEVER answer), and at least 4 spam texts a week. It's ridiculous! The Do Not Call list is a joke!
- ThinkAboutItCheap sale-nobody wants to read the off-topic posts you plastered all over the page. It would be nice if the admin erased them.
- CharlyMany calls from this number...several today alone...I have never answered and they have never left a message.
- Albert| 1 reply3 calls every day. I have sick family members, also. Changing phone numbers won't help. Robo calls from scam artists will find you. I give up. No one cares in our government to stop this stalking. I get the same calls on my land line and cell phone. My wife is a shift worker and I have to turn off the ringer so she can sleep during the day. May all the scam artists suffer a long, lingering illness, die, and burn in hades.

- BeavisCalling my pay per use cell phone. I don't answer, but calling every day at 5:12pm. Number being reported. The DNC list is a farce. Just like our current governmental leaders.

- They'll Just Keep CallingSeems nothing is really being done to stop let alone inhibit the calls from this & various other numbers coming from what seems to be the same flaccid tools. I suspect they are all the same. The Do Not Call List is limited on what they can do as these same people call from different numbers & it takes months of complaints for them to move on anything. By then they've moved onto another number (same people).
They falsely offer security services, credit card interests, lawn care, free deals, etc...so long as you are willing to give them little bits of information. They aren't true telemarketers - they don't care if they are rude (it's encouraged).
I've just gotten to the point where I just don't answer. If they want to waste their energy, have at it. Lord knows I waste a lot of mine contacting the local government offices related to the area code(s) for each, report each to the DNC list & to the Federal Commission - & yet they just keep calling, dying to get someone on the phone. Cell companies don't care either - hence why this won't stop any time soon. They make their money on these a**holes harassing you because many charge to block numbers OR charge to change your number, casually and coldly insisting it's not a big deal. Hello, it's a pain in the a** to change numbers, especially when NO MATTER where you've used it or not or if it is brand spanking new, they'll call it eventually. They make $ off your frustration (cell companies). Used to be it was free to block an endless list of numbers. Notice that's disappeared in recent years? Now you have to pay & only have a limited list of numbers to block. It's likely your cell company didn't freely give away your number, but that they use computer systems to cycle through numbers & hope to get hits & call until the well is dry & move on.
I'd stop trying to call them back - that whole press 1 to be removed from our list is an extension of the same scam as it'll just INCREASE the volume of calls you get. Telling them to stop calling won't do anything either as they'll chatter over you or cut you off, etc...
I recommend logging the calls you get & start emailing the following DAILY multiple times (copy & paste my friends): The government offices where ever the call's area code stems from. They'll claim they can't do anything about the calls even though they hail from their district BUT I'm sure they get enough emails taking up their time they'll have to do something about it. Also, the FCC & the Do Not Call List. Email both, email a lot, especially the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as they regulate interstate and international communications. Your taxes, you know those pesky things that HIKE your rates all the time on everything from internet to phone, pay them. Email them too, often. I'd detail exactly how the Do Not Call list is essentially worthless, because these "criminals" (i.e. people who do not follow the letter of the law) fail to adhere to it. Yelling, "I'm on the Do Not Call List" & pouting isn't going to phase these yard tools. They'll just keep calling until something more severe is applied. Kill one number they just grow new heads like Hydras - but you start entangling more agencies than just the DNCL & blogs like this with your dissatisfaction and eventually more stringent laws will have to be placed. Email your cell provider daily too - insist they reenact the ability to block numbers (like they used to without fees & bs). Start clogging the in boxes of government email addresses - write the local politicians of the area too - address the growing issue that's emerging from their back door. Explain that it's a blight on their city, even if the calls are just being routed through there. Over time someone high enough up on the food chain will find a viable way to cut the crop of these cockroaches. The old school number blocking seems the best way to me.- Caller: Same old Jerks
