i've a missed call from this number and i don't know who's that i think it's some of my friends abroad

We have contacted the Italian Regulator Agcom.  The company that has been allocated all these 39319xxxxxxx is Intermatica (Italy.

Earlier this year the International Regulator (ITU) shut another identical international call back scam down.  Those 'premium rate' numbers also belonged to Intermatica (Italy)

YOU ALL MUST REPORT THIS TO YOUR NATIONAL MEDIA AND REGULATORS

Just got a call from the same italian number few minutes back. 7.05am Dubai local time. I tried to call back (I'm italan and i tought was something urgent from somebody I know), but I got no ring tone no nothing, just a slight background noise, no one was talikng.
I just hope i didn't do a big mistake calling back this number.

this is mass-marketed spam that is being sent to millions of phones in numerous countries.  It is against International law.  These 39319xxxxxxx numbers are Italian mobile numbers all belong to Intermatica (Italy) and are being used to bill for premium rate services.  They are intentionally being left to give the impression they are genuine calls.  If your children were to innocently return the call not only would you be left with a large phone bill your child would be connected to some porn line from Italy.

The national phone companies and Intermatica are sharing the revenue from this fraud.

THAT IS AGAINST NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LAW!!

The Italian Regulator has been told and they are turning a blind eye to fraud and a deaf ear to complaints.

Ask Roberto Viola why you are all being spammed with filth from Italy.

I am an Indian. I've got a missed call from this number too. I don't know who's this number. I've got call from this number on 29-12-2009 9:54pm. Is this a spam call just to check whether these numbers are working? Or to create a mobile database for marketing purpose?
